    I plan shorting a full size bed down to put on mine and making it a dump. Would love to see more picture of the bed and how you went about it.

    I figured it was government issue but ther was a reason it was different. I find there are different thing here and there on these trucks.

    Interesting notice the tailgate looks different then my 71 is that stock? I'm fairly new and know that their are sevral different beds for these trucks.

    Today took out the hinge pins from the nos door I got to put the door on the truck and change over them to the proper bolts for the west coast mirrors.

    I find hand impact is the way togo with somethings depending on the fasteners and other factors.

    Today I used my new hand impact tool from lisle(29200). To loose the hinge bolts on my driver side door. Worked slick and thanks to a soldier that mentioned about a mix of acetone&transmission for loosening rusted fasteners. Applyed it once a day for few days worked great!

    M35A3 Deuce steering. Oh fu......................dge....something is missing!

    Have you checked the innernet for other sources? I would make sure you compare apples to apples. Power assisted steering isn't cheap. One must ask if the manual works how much is one willing to spend on convenience.

    Thinking of putting a snorkle on mine at some point. Not for deep water but to keeping it out of snow in winter but then again I like to keep out of the salt. Image if they found something that worked with out the rust. Who invented rust anyway?:shrugs:
