    Deuce Power Bleeder R4x4 Style

Update- I hadn't been to the truck in a week since I bled it and had a good pedal. The good pedal is now gone. The odd thing is when I push the pedal to the floor and release it I hear gurgling in the MC. Not a little bit but A LOT of gurgling. I did a smell test of the fluid I bled last week...

    Deuce Power Bleeder R4x4 Style

the napa cap I used is 675-1204. It is the same as the original with the vent in the side of the cap. The dorman cap looks to be the same on the outside, but does it have the vent built into the cap? If not it would be better than the original because it wouldn't leak out that side vent line in...

    Deuce Power Bleeder R4x4 Style

I found a cap at my local Napa. It was exactly the same as the original except it had different writing on the top that said to use dot 3 fluid. I incorrectly thought the cap was flimsy, it's thin, but rigid enough to thread a 90 degree barb for a hose attachment. It took some time because I...

    Deuce Power Bleeder R4x4 Style

Possibly a quick change adapter or hose barb could be placed through the cap with a washer and nut. Some silicone to seal or if there is enough room o-rings. Anybody know the part # for the cap? Thanks

    Deuce Power Bleeder R4x4 Style

I have the same question, can a power bleeder be used on a 1987-89 USAF deuce. If someone has done it, I think another cap would have to be found. The original plastic cap is flimsy.

choice between 1970 deuce or 1987 deuce.

It's on the other side of ID from you. Probably the one on CL in Portland. Been there about a month.

Bobbed Deuce with duals... tire questions

So the 15.5 and the 395 are the same style bead. That's good to know. The wide wheels are at a friends house. He made 4 of the same for his bobbed deuce and he put 1600x20's on those. I decided to go smaller, although his truck looks great. From memory they are HEMTT wheels, I just need to ask him.

Bobbed Deuce with duals... tire questions

I have read where guys have put 395's on stock wheels. I have also read where there are different styles of beads. I also wonder how safe this is. I also have at least 2 Michelin Pilot 15.5/80r20 that I forgot about. They would be too big to be used with 1100x20 tires, but what bead style wheel...

Bobbed Deuce with duals... tire questions

I remember reading about how much the 365's were liked, but don't remember if there was a camber adjustment necessary or if air assist was necessary and the camber adjustment with that. The other problem is I don't have any 365's, but couldn't a 1100 be used as a spare since they are the same...

Bobbed Deuce with duals... tire questions

Hello, I've spent a lot of time reading about the options and seem to be second guessing my original decision. I already have tires 1100x20, G177, michelin XML, and NDCC I also have goodyear steer tires in 1100X20. I also have a set of 1200x20 NDCC tires, but I don't think I can dual them or are...

    Radio parts questions

any ideas? If anybody repairs military radios like the guy I got these parts from(his estate) these thing might be of value. I probably won't toss them until I find out, but I'm trying to slim down for a move. Help appreciated!

    Dmd an/psg-2

Do you need 2 of these devices to digital message? I'm curious how it works. Are a computer and radio required? Seems any knowledge is pretty limited. I think they were used from the late 70's to ??. Can't find where they might be sold. Info about them is appreciated. Thanks

    Radio parts questions

Your right about pictures. I found another box of small parts that are individually wrapped that I will post more pictures of, but 1st these. I don't want to confuse the post. The board measures 4"x3.25". Thank you for looking.

    Radio parts questions

I'm trying to clean up some parts laying around. These are bags of circuit boards. They are small circuit boards, new in the packaging, probably 60's or 70's. Military, my best guess for radio's. They are marked CIMRON. Marked DA-36-038-AMC-3715(A) on the outside. The packages also have a part #...

    Shuddering above 25 mph...

I had a vibration problem with my M1009. I could rev the engine without vibs. Balanced the driveshaft and the shop that did it said it was within specs when I brought it in. I couldn't figure it out until I put it on jack stands and watched the vibration at the rear end. The yoke in the rear was...

    best place/way to buy m35a2?

13ronin, An Air force deuce(87,88,89 years only) is the best truck to find. They are rare with a PTO winch, it could be added or add a stronger 18k electric. The poster above that has an LDS engine in his, has the ultimate deuce in my opinion. I would be interested to know what that would go...

mixed dot 3 and 5 brake fluid

I agree that in changing from one dot to another, trace amounts if not more, will remain in the system. The truck I have does have dual circuit brakes. Probably the question that is the most concern is how much of these trace amounts matter. Especially as brought up earlier about the old fluid...

    best place/way to buy m35a2?

If you do buy one from an auction site don't assume anything, especially that because it came from a fire dept or county it was well taken care of. They usually sell them because it costs too much to fix it. Sometimes it gets butchered, because they don't know what they are doing and won't spend...
