Also, there was a similar trailer on GovDeals, not sure if it's still there. Same look and weight rating, here's the info and pics:
"1965 Loadcraft military 2 1/2 ton utility pole trailer, NSN 2330-00-697-8102. 5000 lbs. payload, 7580 GVWR. 185"Lx96"Wx46"h"
I found this snippet on Wikipedia:
"G686, trailer 2-Ton, K-36 trailer pole, and cargo"
Also a webpage for the V-13 pole trailer, but it's listed as 3.5 ton.

Do something unique instead of the standard paint jobs. Do like JWC did, have a M109 with gangsta graffiti painted on the sides. Or Opie with his baby-barf camo, a mixture of mustard yellow, flat OD green and grey (but mostly yellow).
I like this idea. Even if you have to pay a little for it, $150 is my absolute tops for doing all that work in addition, it's a good tough trailer, be a shame to let the woods keep it...
I hate hearing about MVs going to the wrecking yard, but if they are bad enough, as long as the parts get saved hopefully some others will be spared the same fate. Good show, WM.
So...NO ONE is within an hour or so of the Baltimore area that can swing a wrench or sling some paint that weekend? Wow, I thought guys here liked working on military vehicles...
Duh, I read the first paragraph and his location, didn't even see the GA location of the pan.
With all the GA people we have here, it needs to be saved!
If it's in Alaska, it will be hard to find someone up there interested in restoring it. And it's a LONG haul to the southern 48 states for anyone else. It's a shame, that's a neat piece of equipment, wonder what it's job was up there in the great north....
Unimogs are awesome pieces of machinery. Leave it to the Krauts to design something like that for the ages.
Like I've said before, if wars were won by technological superiority alone, YOU'D BE SPEAKING GERMAN NOW.
Has anyone here heard from Dave or Rob, the No.2Diesel boys? I've sent PMs to them and no response so far. This is their rally, historically, so I'm surprised they haven't chimed in yet....
Well, okay, I'D burn it in MY deuce. Course, I'm not picky on what goes in the tank. I've peed in the tank after a good night drinking...
I do not take responsibility for you screwing up your truck with weird stuff.
Bottom line is: IF YOU HAVE TO ASK THE QUESTION "CAN I BURN THIS IN A...
With the number of warnings on it, I'd say yes it can burn in a deuce. As long as it's not like paint or varnish, that has other stuff like pigments in the mix, which would do a number on the filters. If it's a petroleum based solvent, of a homogeneous nature, I'd say it's okay.
Well, it was always planned to get done and sold, not a keeper. Just glad it's going to get finished now.
Will post pics when the money comes in and things start rolling along.
I'll say what I truly feel elsewhere, I know if I post my feelings about 9/11 and the perpetrators I will make Hitler look like Mickey Mouse.
I will say this:
I pray for the families of those lost in the attacks, and may God bless the United States of America and it's citizens.
I'll be going, by myself, tentatively driving the M35A2 and arriving around noon Friday. Can bring some firewood and a radio if anyone wants to hear tunes in camp. Oh, and I'll have beer and cigars as usual, they are my medication.
I might also be able to bring a digital projector and some...
Well, I talked with a gent in MD who is interested in buying the M37 gun truck project, with a twist. He is an older gent, enjoys owning MVs and using them in parades. Has a couple other armored MVs. However, he says he is to the point in his life he can't restore trucks anymore, wants to...
