I'd take it for free.. the rest of the cab looks OK, and they are probably kinda rare, so also you got the tranny, maybe it idn't get water in it? Looks like free parts.
RE: kit
Rings true, I had an Army soldier tell me about that at an Armed Forces Day open house. He said it chews up the gears. The truck had a similar warning sign on the dash, thus my question to him about it.
Looks like a "code G" pump per TM 9-2910-226-34. Under the cover there is a bracket with a screw holding a "stop plate". Moving this forward or backward changes the delivery. I have no knowledge beyond that about the pump you have, just what I read in the TM. I assume the "1 flat at a time and...
I noticed that after testing the preluber initially, without starting the engine, the old canister-type oil filters seemed to be full to where they made a real mess when I pulled them. This tells me the preluber is at least partially filling the filters. I won't know therefore how long to wait...
I bought a generator from Sermis, but it has to be tested before I will take the considerable trouble to install it. I also need to buy a pulley for it so I can keep a ready spare. As for the repaired one, It still works fine and I been slackin' for sure.. The repair has required zero...
The no longer serve a purpose so you could seal them up. I prefer to not 'ruin' anything.. Perhaps you could find some plastic or copper pipe caps and glue them on with RTV?
I picked selectro in the vote because they are low profile. At the time of purchase, it was the only option. I do not ford, and I think I would still prefer the same low profile of the selectro.
I think with my sore back, I can't reach in there too well. I had a heck of a time under the dash mounting the wiring and doing the soldering. But I see it is do-able and that is a very nice hose there.
The check valve is 200PSI rated. It's the thing under the tee in the second picture. I put...
I just installed mine today, it was finally cool enough outside to do it. Only 93 degrees. So now to pack up the bolts and send them in.
These look very nice and don't leak. Also the parts are very heavy duty and everything needed for the job was included.
to make paint stay on chrome, you will have to rough it up. Chrome is very hard. There may be a special primer paint or treatment to prepare the chrome. Maybe a good hardware store can suggest it? Another option might be to use an industrial coating such as that used to dip tool handles in, the...
I have kicked the pump on, but only to prime it, using the battery from my Makita drill.
I am bypassing the filters. I know I should not, but all the dang kits are set up that way. I do intend to add a filter later. I think a small one will do. Or I could rerout things?
I hope tomorrow or...
Wow ADR! an electronic repair shop! that means you get all the meters, circuit breakers, outlets, and stuff with it!! I saw the panel, and looks like you got the wiring diagram too. Note the hatch is for your A/C, beware the bolts holding it may have rusted to the captive nuts (I had to use a...
