I made the same mistake when I got my m932a1, i ran out of fuel about 20 (up hill) feet from the fuel pump.. I had to walk around the truck stop and ask people for a pull up to the pump.. Made for fun memories lol
The m932 is gone.. I had to sell it to buy the new truck.. I had to consider my needs, and the 5ton Was cool and fun, but not conducive to long trips.. Haspin was about the farthest I would take the 5ton, and I really want to go the the GA rally, and some others that are farther away..
It has a 350 big cam III cummins turned up to a 525-550 and the rpm's bumped up to 2500 max.. The trans is a road ranger 9speed with 1:1 top gear, and 3.73 rear axle ratios
Oh, and it has AIR CONDITIONING!!!! Lol
It runs real nice, and gets close to 10mpg bobtail, I have yet to pull the M971...
Sounds like it's coming right along! Don't forget pics for us folks, we all love pics.. Pop-up pictures are the best though.. (Ok, maybe that's just my inner 2 year old coming out lol) but I personally can't wait to see this project done! I have always thought that a international crew cab 4700...
is there a reason you kept the 4" exhaust? I would think it is too restrictive? and did you up the intake size? I tried using the orignal 4" intake piping, and the turbo wouldn't spool up..
as always, outstanding work!
we (the KILROY MVPA group, the same group that brought you this years national convention) are looking for more people and trucks to come out for the veterans day parade this year! unlike years past, we are no-longer just another group/float in the parade, but we are the main attraction! we will...
I am having some issues with a M932A2, the brake light switch was bad when I took possession of the truck (AKA- I have no history on the truck) when i removed the switch from the air line, pressure bled off (i would guess 100psi) I replaced the switch, turned on the lights, and pressed the brake...
I know what you mean. I am trading my M932A1 tractor for a cabover tractor, it has things like air-ride cab and seat, AC, and a radio.. plus it gets better MPG's and will do road speed... you just have to do whats best for you..
Yes, the 250 really does improve with the turbo, and running empty or with a LIGHT trailer, it's a rocket.. But you put a load behind it, and you start wishing for more gears really fast.. I lucked out on the parts, I have $200 in the whole setup.. And I found another turbo "kit" on a scrap...
I keep forgeting to take pictures, but I will try to remember to get some when I get home in the morning..
my intake is a old style with no innercooler, so there is a pipe that goes from the turbo, over the engine into the top of the intake.. the intake looks a lot like the current one on the...
IF these are the same CVT(t) APC's I am thinking of,
I hope you have looked them over VERY good, I have looked them over, and they are in pretty sad shape.. I would HIGHLY recommend putting boots on the ground before purchasing... just a heads up! best of luck!
