Oh crap I see the 4 prong inner one is the washer and the two parts labelled "11" are the same nut the adjusting and lock one. so I need the OTC socket. Hmm Alright I'll see when I'm gonna do this.
Right along the lines of the rest of the vehicle, I popped the hubs out and literally the wheel...
Hello. I have scoured the internet and cant seem to find the right answer for my truck. What spindle nut socket do I need for my 1986 M1028. It seems to be a 4 indent nut on the outside, and a 4 prong nut on the inside. What socket does this require?

Alright so I got the Wilson 500 antenna for her. I cleaned up the radio I got and it powers on, but havent tested it with the antenna yet. I'll get to the install this weekend so I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Hmm see I am trying to keep it military. But for now the magnet base will work. Maybe when I repaint her back to CARC Tan I'll look into that.
Thanks for the interesting idea.

Alright straight to battery it is. And I'll try to find the hole....haha now that I think about it I might know where it is! Like I said I'm at school so I cant check now. But youre right, It all depends on the functionality (I have trees and stuff to drive under) as to where I mount the...
Hmm Maybe I'll mount it on the front like kind of where a stock radio antenna would be. Would that be better?
And I'll definitely run it to the battery. You dont think I'll have any problems with better drain or anything?

Hm good Idea with the relay...I'll do that. I have an SWR and of course will tune the antenna. We'll see how that comes out.
I kinda forgot about the transfer case shifter....That sounds pretty solid. I'll check that out. Im at school now but when I got home i'll get into it and see what I'm...
Hello.
I want to install a CB radio into my 1986 M1028. I already have the radio, ordered the antenna. It is a Regency Cr-186 radio (got it at a tractor show it seems to work) and a brand new Wilson 500 magnetic base antenna.
This truck was owned by a fire company as a brush truck, and at...
Ok so I did some more research and found some good stuff. I think when I go home this weekend I'll just take the gauge and transducer out and take the transducer apart and replace all the soft components. Where is the transducer located? Main control box or in the side electrical box?

I know about rausch creek thing, but that is kinda too far right now in my life (2.5 hours). I just started college so...you know. Are there any over the summer?

Hello.
Real quick question. Are there any events or rallies around or in NJ? I'd love to do some MV events but I cant seem to find any in the area...
Thanks,

Hello.
Ok So I still have to post the first start up video of my MEP-003. It runs like a demon. I almost have it ready to power the house, just need the transfer switch, but it's all wired.
The problem I'm having is with the frequency gauge. Now I know I should check the TM's but I figure...
Check for corrosion on everything, especially the bulb holders for the Gen lights. Even though your light works, i'd still check em. If You have the original military alternators (both are isolated ground) try changing the driver side with the passenger side. that will tell you if it is an...
Alright. I left the system as military stock, no resistor bypass. Everything in the system is new except the controller. It works perfectly and starts no problem every time. For now, stock it is for me. Thanks for the help though.
I cant wait to test it during some cold winter days though.
