Best size rim for a super single ???

You can get rims & tires like those from USA6x6 or Stazworks. They will cost you about $450-$550 + mounting for a wheel/tire combo. I have one set left @ $395 each. Recommeded tire sizes are Michelin XML 395/85R20 and Michelin G20 Pilote 15.5R80. Both have the approximately the same...

Firefighter Dies from Deuce (w/ Tribute Pics)

A neighboring fire department lost one of their own last night. Details are unavailable, but it appears that the young man was working on a wildland fire when he stopped and got outside the deuce for some reason (possible vehicle or pump problems). The truck apparently rolled over him and he...

Best size rim for a super single ???

Yes, that is the setup I run on our deuces. With a 395 or 15.5 tire, the outer edge of the rear tires is in line with the bed (of course the front ones stick outside the fenders a little). Here are a few pics that may help.

    M135 Rims and 395 Tires???

The best looking setup I have seen is Michelin XML 12.00R20 on the M135 rims. Look in the photo gallery/super single pics for this and other options. Most guys just go with 1100s

    M135 Rims and 395 Tires???

I don't think the rims are 11". 395s *can* be mounted on stock deuce rims, but I wouldn't advise it.

    M-34 Project Kicks off

Looks like a good project acrane. You have to remember to load photos in the reverse order you want them seen. One of system's quirks!

    LAST SUMMER

Looking good. It looks like you used a towbar in Pic 2 with the deuce. Do commercial semis usually have pintle hooks on the back?

    Tires !

How tall are those tires? Have you thought about putting 36/37" HMMWV tires on it? Has anyone here done it? I'm looking for some pics and info to complete my M1008 project.

Wheel adapters to put 10 lug wheels on a deuce... ???

Yeah, you can get them, but they are spendy. Check here for some, $2000/set: http://www.chuckstrucks.net/parts.html Spicergear was looking into making some a few years back, but he ended up scrapping that idea. He might have some leads though. I need some rims to single out another M52...

Do you like your surplus well done?

I'm planning to keep the towbar for myself. I know, call me selfish. Gary, I've got you down. I'll see what I can do.

    M52 and M127A2C

I think the M871 was the replacement for the M127. Higher payload and ISO container locks. Here is what the manual says for the M871. (Kingpin is 2") Do not tow the semitrailer with the M52, M52A1, or M52A2 truck tractor. The M52 five ton truck tractor’s inherent design capabilities are not...

    M52 and M127A2C

Question- Does anyone know why the M871 trailers are not compatible with the M52? Manual says damage or injury can occur?

Air over hydraulic. I believe the M127 hade straight air.

Do you like your surplus well done?

I don't know exactly. Maybe $1-$2K depending on condition. They want to move them out and would probably go less if we group buy. Shipping would be tough due to the weight. Tom drove down from PA to get his.

Do you like your surplus well done?

Bjorn- No price tags on anything yet, but I bet it would be more than fair. Picture of the winch below. Marcus- The stuff is all located on a small farm in central Oklahoma.
