I don't know why you would want one of those things, anyways. Sure, it might be warmer and quieter, but nothing beats cruising in a convertable!
Hola all,
Yesterday I undertook a little project, replacing the engine stop cable on the deuce. Always the cheapskate, I figured out a way to replace the cable itself, without having to buy a whole new handle/assembly. Anyone out there interested in a writeup?
It seems to me the SS site could...
Just out of curiosity: I've noticed the windshield wiper air hose on my deuce isn't long enough to stay connected when the windshield is folded all the way down. The hose I'm referring to is the first visible one, in the lower left corner of the windshield. I'm just wondering if this is...
I just noticed, the SS forum now has 304 members! Yippee!<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_jumpin.gif" alt="Jumpin"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_thumzup.gif" alt="Thumb Up">
SS,
Still working on this? I'd love to see me up there! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve">
Grand Rapids, MI, in case you forgot! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_gossip.gif" alt="Gossip">
*sigh* It'd be nice...
What I'd really like is that shop van for sale in the photo ads section here at SS. But alas, no money, no place to put it, no time... and the list goes on....
Just reading through the -10, and I'm seeing some references to the M36A2 extended wheelbase Deuce. Just curious if anyone out there has one, or knows of someone who does. How rare are they?
1, 2 and 4 for me!
Oh, and canoeyew, I'd love to see pics of that pop top! That's gotta be something else.... great idea, though.
Gets me thinking... you could probably fit a whole pop-up trailer on the back of a deuce... hmmmm...........
Definitely don't forget to mention the sponsorship when you buy anything from them! The feedback recieved will hopefully entice them to continued sponsorship.
Just to follow up on my own post:

They have it, Gillespie brand (which I am told is quite good), $24/gal, or $89/4 gal.
Hey all,
I'm pretty sure my Deuce is NOT painted with CARC, but given its nasty reputation, I'm wondering how to check for certain before I start sanding for the next paintjob. I recall reading somewhere that it should be written/stenciled somewhere on the truck, but I forget where that is...
Now THAT idea I like! (Anything cheap is great by me...) I'm just wondering if I can get ahold of some of the OD I really need, so I can try to match the color up...
Just thought I'd pop back to this thread. I managed to find a couple headsets on eBay, I actually got a box of two NOS H-161E/U's for about $54 - less than ONE pair at some other places! So not too shabby.
You never did post that TM, though... ;)
