This is the problem.... The m818 engine wont turn off using the battery switch or the ignition switch, I have to pull the emg. stop cable to kill the engine . Then lift the hood and puch the cable back in. getting to ba a pain in the butt. What's the problem?????.

welcome, I just bought my first duece couple of weeks ago, and love it, I also just picked up a m817 out of OH. to put on the ranch, looked preety nice but will know more when I get it. Also out of the great state of TEXAS.

Wal-Mart batteries have worked just as well as any other, have them in 3 m1009's with no worry's at all. $76.00 a piece with a 3 year full replacement warranty, and then 5 year limited warranty.

in response to mangus580, this cucv has the aftermarket a/c in it and it works great. paid $500.00 for it, but having a hell of a time finding the short. dont remember if gen light bulbs come on or not (working between 5 cucv's), but will check and let yall know.

the batteries dont drain while sitting in the truck, only while its running. It takes about 40-50 minutes to drain while running. it is still 24v.
