When in doubt-- taste it. I've done this for years (maybe that's whats wrong with me) I apprenticed under an old time mechanic and if he was not sure about a fluid (color) he would dab his finger in it and give it a taste. Usually he was right on with what it was. I've diagnosed a few like this.
Bravojmc- I have installed 2 of the waterproof convertors in my battery compartment(two separate trucks). I'm running just a cell charger right now, but plan on a am/fm radio, cb, light bar and a dome light. No issues so far.. Purchased on e-prey for under $15, with free shipping. Sellers name...
Does mac motors sell parts to John Q. Public? In their disclaimer it says if you misrepresent you/your company they will prosecute. Not trying to be a Betty downer-- just don't want to get drama over buying a part.

I wouldn't worry so much of the placement of the transfer case but the placement of the fuel hand!!!
To me, the cost of maintenance on my Humvee is no more than a 4x4 of the same year. Parts are in the same price range, give or take a few bucks. Agreed with above post-- always looking for leaks/odd smells/noises. If I notice something I address it asap or park it till I can. Once you change the...
I had a option of the Baja or the good year mtr. I chose the good year and glad I did, they ride like Michelins. They pull good in the sand ( haven't tried the mud yet as we are in a 6 month drought) but will update if the chance presents itself.. The sidewall on the Baja did not impress me at...
Mounted my new goodyears on 24 bolt rims and took her out in the woods to try em out. They ride a thousand times better than the 2nd gen. goodyears and seem to pull better through the sand. Sigewalls is like a 14.00 20... wow
