Oklahoma SS Workday / Chow Run

We had one here in MD and the topic/demo was air assist steering. A unit was installed for all to leard how it was done. There was also a demonstration on spearing a radiator with a forklift, under the topic of what not to do. Great event for all.

I will pm you my phone number should you run into losing prime. I have gotten so much help from others here that I am more than glad to help.

    TM help

Very easy to do, even an old guy like myself did it. 1 bolt in the top of the bowl secures the entire unit. However, the trick is priming it (if you lose prime) and the TM is worthless. We tried everything when we ran out of fuel and had to flat tow it home. It would not self prime with a full...

Last ditch fuel choices for a Multifuel....

I would take my air driven diaphram pump and start hitting home oil tanks, chemical plants, land fil recycle centers, abaodoned cars and trucks and repair shops for anything that burns and has an acceptable BTU level. The air on the deuce will run the pump, but it does not need a flooded suction...

    Is Steelsoldiers a club?

This is a great club made up of individuals who will go out of their way to help. Everytime I have had a truck issue I could post a thread and get answers in minutes. There were offers of parts and people who would come and help. Then we go beyond club to the chapter level. In Maryland we have a...

    new m818 owner apparent ly!

I think from here on out i will recover with a trailer. I had a perfectly good 5 ton stop running due to losing prime on the last recovery. Yesterday I knew someone recovering a tractor and the tow bar came out and snapped due to the pin not being properly secured. In short , a break down will...

How do you stop a non running deuce?

Like Monkey said, use the winch. Believe me he could probably back down your road unless there is overhead obstructions. Eric has recovered 4 for me and knows his stuff... One more thought, get a compressor, and charge your braking system. But please make sure you have fluid in the master...

    Connecting MEP to house

I always use my electricians from work to help. Everyone needs side work nowadays. This stuff does kill and has the potential to burn down your home with you and your family inside. Thanks for the photos and ideas.

would you give up your wife for your truck?

You are never too old.You need to hook up with the ole gal whose hubby just died who has the truck collection. You could kill several birds at once. You find love, you find more trucks and you find a woman used to being with a guy who likes and collects trucks. Who knows, she may have given him...

Could some members post pics of their house connections and transfer switch set ups. I have to hook one up and am looking at the various approaches taken.
