I know I have a LOVE for firetrucks, and would be in heaven if i ever got a M-series firetruck, so i BEG you if you do get it, try to trade it for a normal deuce before cutting it up.. but, I do think it has a PTO driven water pump.. I am not sure of the GPM, but I'm sure it would be 500GPM+ but...
I will 2nd (40th) the motion to split up the 5ton fourm (and would be more then willing to help with this as I have 6+ hours a day that I have a computer/internet with nothing to do)
also 2nd the motion for a RV fourm that includes trucks and trailers.. I love reading the conversions, but they...
I used a #15 button, and i gross 60K+ pounds with my tractor.. as was said earlier in the thread- "drive by the gauges" the egt is a MUST, and you have to keep a steady eye on it at all times.. but i used 5" straight pipe and ran a stack about 3' above the cab pointed straight up.. that lowered...
do you have a part number and a pic for your filter setup? I need a new airfilter setup for my turbo.. the stock airfilter doesnt seen to have enough flow..
I know its not a humvee (and that I'll get blasted) but i figured it basicly the same engine.. i pulled a m1009 blazer out of a field that had been sitting for 10+ years.. I had it primed, but WOULD NOT FIRE!! so while my brother was cranking the engine (throttle wide open), i used a VERY SMALL...
i bought a M1009 blazer a couple weeks ago out of a field that had been sitting since 1999, it had a full tank of diesel from when it had been parked, and it fired up and ran on it fine... so I would say go for it! 1 year is nothing on (older) diesel's
Im currently in the design phase of a slide out on my m971.. its a LOT harder then it looks.. but doable.. it is almost impossable to do a flush floor design with the way my trailer is structured, but with a M129, i think the frame is in the center, and that would make it easier for a flush...
I'm thinking that making it might be my only option.. I want something that folds completely out-of-the-way when not in use, but can also double as a bed or a couch.. I have seen one somewhere.. I just have to find it..
I will have to look into a Murphy bed.. But as far as the walls.. I might just go with a thin ply wood, and paint or wallpaper.. I still want a very light color, but I think that was just TOO bright with the white walls..
well.. its not even done yet (i guess thats a good thing) because I am thinking of a COMPLEAT REDO!! after using over the past year, I have figured out that I dont like the set up, and want to move the shower/bathroom area up to the front of the main area.. (where the counter is now)
but also...
Yep! that was me! lol and I'm not 100% sure with the 11.00x20 tires.. i only know that mine (with 14.00x20 tires) put it 6"-7" overheight, if you went with a civy 5th wheel, then you should be down in the correct height.. i would look around for military trailers though.. they would require no...
