not to be rude but did you even read my post .
I said I read the set the gear to tdc with the plastic plug and bolt in the pump .
my question was how to set the pump body to cover timming that's adjustable.
almost every link you click in your search or the same way I search it is talking...
if that warn hub has been apart it might have been serviced wrong .
the black dial cup inside the cap that pushes on the gear can be installed in the wrong clock position . it takes a bit of fiddling and trial but can be retimed .
slow and steady
wheels up off ground .
fill about full .
turn left / right few times .
refill as needed.
pump brakes till no more assist .
once happy fire for 10-15 sec max and shut down .
pump brakes till no assist .
recheck and fill / blead as needed .
refire and check running...

I got a replacement engine in the 936a2 and its running 14 or so timming . original was 8.0 tmming .
seems to be low on power / throttle response . wana know if playing with timming back to mill spec engine will work better.
also if the hub ever fails what is the default position ?

lots of off-raod guys buy hubs that fail locked if it was to ever fail . helps get back home .

I just parted out a clean southern truck 2wd c-10 and looked good .
removed the cab from the frame and found a 3/4" stack of shims under the left rear cab mount . the mount was bad and the frame was bent also .
so you can hide a lot if you know what to do .
he does med/big trucks also on the road jobs .
we do get the once in a bit call for ultra stuck mud trucks tho .
he just has had a few jobs it got scary to get in/out with city truck wrecker 35ton kw. if he had had this would have been 10x faster in/out on the job .
