i filter in series. 25 micron, 10 micron, then 5 micron. surpluscenter.com has some nice filters/bae combos. i bought some of the big filters that flow something like 40 or 70 gpm and screw into 1.25" pipe. they work well for me and filters are not that expensive. i took the specs of the filters...
gee, im not sure on the wiring (from the factory) if the wires going to the lights are spliced together then go to each headlight or not. the dimmer switch could be a problem, but it dosnt explain why the passanger side light is bright and the drivers side is barely glowing. if it is barely...
i was gonna say the same thing. mine was a newer compressor when i got my truck. you could see it looked newer than what the rest of the engine was. mine was making some racket under compression but i tightened up my belt when i had the radiator off last week and it has been fine ever since...
i like my deuce a lot and drive it to work a bunch. i dont take it on 1000 mile trips, mostly stay with in a 50 mile radius of home base. burning waste motor oil definately helps a lot on the wallet!
when i pulle dmy steering box to put bushings in, i didnt re seal around the firewall where the column goes up in. i get a lot of hot air blowing into the cab from there. just something to think about.
what works good for me to keep cool is, roll the windows up and open the windshield. i read...
i agree. maybe check the grounding of the gauge also? if it has high resistance, that could make it read high too? if things arnt grounded good, i know that can cause funny problems.
another thing i did when i put mine on is tried to have the shaft of the ball valve point down hill... my thought to this was that maybe it will help with corrosion as water will not try to run down the shaft and corrode something. it could be maybe im just too fussy..... who knows if it even...
i love the smell of the multifuel
affordable
great people in the hobby
why buy a pool when i can just put one in the back?
practical because its affordable
lots of parts out there
chicks do dig it..... seems like more than my bright red 1940 Ford street rod... go figure
has a 12 foot bed that...
i replaced my valves on mt M35A2 with regular ball valves from lowes. just something to think about, be careful on the left side to make sure you have enough room to hook up the glad hands. on my M109A3, there was not enough room for me to hook up the glad hand on my trailer when i went to pick...
i just installed mine last night! a big thanks to 59apache for the dimensions! i got a half inch shorter belt for the original belt routing for the 24 volt alternator so it is now 46.5 inch belt and the other alternator belt is 53 3/8" belt. they fit on there good and the alternators do not move...
we used an impact socket that was a little smaller than the hole in the casting. worked good and did not mess up the bushings at all. the TM shows a special driver tool which would work good but would have to be special made.
the bushings are clevite #02504 incase anybody wanted the bushings...
Nobody likes a loose box!, so i took mine out of the deuce to replace the bushings. i tried adjusting it, but it did not work and you could see the pitman arm moving back and forth a little. I ordered the 2 bushings, seal and gasket from memphis. pulling the box was a pain as i had to jack the...
well since i had the radiator out, i figure i would go all out and PM everything i could since i was in there. the tachometer adapter caught my attention as it looks like the speedometer adapter, but does not have a grease fitting. what have you guys lubed yours with? i just took the small pipe...
mine is the 1600 watt version. it works real good. i used it when the power went out to run the fridge and a friends sump pump. it was nice because it would shut off when the sump pump shut off. to run it, i made a quick disconnect that plugs into my 2000 jeep cherokee, flip the high idle switch...
anybody ever use a redi-line generator? thats what i plan on using in my deuce. i have one just laying around so when i get my 12 volt alternator hooked up, that will charge my other battery for the generator. it is true sine wave and will be handy to have whenever i need it.
i know its an old thread, but i was looking in i think the LDS troubleshooting manual and the LDS engines have a thermostat that opens at 160 degrees instead of the regular 180. what makes the LDS more special? could the cooler temps mean more power better for more dense air, cooler piston temps...
the belts were like new when i bought the truck, brand new lower hose (uncle sam installed) with the napa "sleeve" and part number 7372 on that. i will probably put on a new upper hose and inspect the other hoses as well. i need to do my homework on what the other hose sizes are to maybe replace...
