    Alliance Air Show Oct 6/7

We have ten vehicles saying they will attend. Though we have not heard from four members, so the numbers could go up. It's going to be a fun time. Can't wait to have all the club out at the Alliance Air Show in three weeks.

Physical size of fuel tanks 16 vs. 20 gallon

I've gotten 19+ gallons in my M1028A2 and 26+ gallons in my M1009 (both of the ones I've owned). But I run them down low when I've been on road trips. I always carry 5 gallon NATO fuel tanks. And bleeding MINE are a breeze with the electric fuel pumps installed. Just turn on the key, open...

    M1028 A2 Deuce And A Quater

I've always felt my M1028A2 was a suitable replacement for the deuce I sold. That and I got an M1009 to go with it. Love yours. I would like to see the interior close up. I'll post some shots of mine as soon as I finish painting it.

Looking to buy CARC paint Locally

I think so. It says 100% Acrylic, so I would say yes. This is the paint I got at Home Depot, using the codes listed on this site.

Looking to buy CARC paint Locally

I just purchased a gallon of Behr at Home Depot. I've painted the bed of the M1028A2 dually. It's drying in the garage. I'm going to let it dry overnight. Then paint the front half. THEN paint the inside of the bed last. I used a close cell foam roller. It actually looks pretty good...

timo247, It may have been mentioned, but one of the BIGGEST PROBLEMS with these vehicles? They are like potato chips. ONE IS NEVER ENOUGH

Alliance Air Show Oct 6/7 in Ft Worth, Texas I went to the Alliance Airport today and met with Christian who took me on a tour of the Alliance Airport, and showed me a space for our club to display our vehicles. It's about 100 feet wide and almost 600 feet long. NOW all we have to do is fill...

    MVCC September Camp Delta Meet

From the TEXAS MVCC, a big HOWDY. Hope you guys have a great time. Love your website. I was surprised no one had grabbed the Military Vehicle Collector Club name on the web. So I snagged both the .com and the .org one - there are still several other . names available. ONE OF THESE DAYS we...

    Rocky Mountain Airshow, Denver

Oldfart, Yeah, I do know what you are talking about. And I was thinking about the ORIGINAL manufacture date, not the refurb date. Leave it to the military AND Colorado to call it a 1998. The funny part is, here in Texas, if you register it as a FMV (Former Military Vehicle), you don't have...

    m1010

Good score for sure. If you don't mind sharing the info, what did it cost you? And how far did you have to trailer it? Looks clean. WHY were there three deuce tires in it?

    Rocky Mountain Airshow, Denver

the M109A4 was a refurbed M109A3 that was manufactured in the 1960's, probably refurbed in the 1990's. At least that's what I've seen of them. The CUCV's were manufactured in the mid 1980's. Some of them (like Chris' ambulance M1010) could have been 'manufactured' as late as 1990 or...

    6.2 Trip Report

T, WE ONLY use RP in any vehicle. I've literally used it in EVERY vehicle we've owned for more than ten years. If you like the syn in your engine, you gonna love it in your diff's - and put some in the TRANSFER CASE - note, I have not found any tranny guy EVER recommend syn in your TH400 or...

    vehicle security

oldman99, Further, in todays society where a robber breaking into a house can sue the home owner because he got cut on the window glass that he broke to get into the house, and actually win and get money from the homeowner, do you really think that you will not get sued for setting a man...
