Sounds like a good deuce that i would buy. Good luck with the insurance issues when you tell your insurer that you plan on using it as a tour bus. Most companies have clauses about riding people in the back. You also may fall into the commercial vehicle classification which opens up a bigger can...
Thank you Eric. Members, I cannot say enough good things about Eric and his service. Twice he has recoved trucks for me from across the country and it was DRAMA-FREE!!! All of us work hard at our jobs and endute BS at work and sometimes at home. No one needs BS in their hobby. When dealing with...
I am not sure about how you plan to tag it, but there are limitations in my state, and plenty others, as to towing and recreational use of a retired MV. Historic, antique and classic tags have limitations. There are plenty of threads on this site that deal with disgruntal members who get caught...
My first purchase seemed to take forever for the EUC to clear then another 45 days for the Sf-97. Now , 8 trucks, 5 trailers, 6 gen units and countless other things, the EUC is 6-8 days and 28 days for the SF-97. I feel your pain and aggrevation. It gets better. Wait until you buy a truck that...
I have emptied several tanks and it is a breeze. In fact I have 500 gallons stashed in an underground tank for my generator and trucks. I use a diaphram pump (Sandpiper Pump) to pull out the oil. The pumps are safe for flammable and combustible liquids. The work great off deuce air pressure...
Matt shame on you for having such a nice truck. The beauracats have struck again. I am glad in MD that you walk in with the paperwork, answer the question (What is Kaiser, so now I tag all as jeeps) and out I go with a historic set of tags. The SF-97 was an issue in MD for a while but they are...

A german sheppard, black lab, gun by the bed, a lock on the kill switch and a chain and lock on the steering wheel works for me, and I live in the country. I kile what Scooter has and may add that as well. Paranoia is a good thing!!!
I liked the pics he posted of your deuce and trailer. He does good work. That is a hell of a run for a first drive. Welcome to the site. Like you I am amazed at the knowledge available here and then blown away at the friendships and help you will get from individuals you may never meet. Glad you...
New synthetic oil should be great for your IP due to its friction lowering properties. As to BTU output, I can find no data comparing it to #2 or WMO. Tomorrow i will try to find an MSDS on Mobil 1 and then one on Rotella and compare flash points. More to follow!!!
Unless you were born in Baghdad you are fine. My first one took 35 days. It sat at Battle Creek for 30 of those days. GL has been real slow in processing due to the high volumes they are pumping out.
