    Was the heater 240 or 120 Volt. With the switch in 120 1PH you only have one hot leg. Move it to 240 1PH and now you have two hot legs.

    James, I don't think a 3kw Gen with one 24 volt battery will start a M818 with four 12 volt batteries. The amps are just not their with the Gen running or not.     M1009 vent plug port spraying fuel !!!

    Let me correct myself, their is no spring, On the end of the plug is the "packing" that is listed in the TM, see picture below. This is what seals the hole. Yours my of came off.

    818 Fuel Problem?

    Sometime the top bolt on the filter housing doesn't seal letting air into the system. Had this happen to me before with the same problems as you. again, make sure the filter is good and the housing is full of fuel. Good Luck

    Front springs worn out?

    I 'm 99% sure it a tire/wheel issue. For a quick check rotate the tires and make sure the tire pressure is correct. Drive it and see if makes any differents.
