GL found a new way to screw us.

RE: Government Liquidation finds a new way to screw us. probably tired of having people be able to point to the www and complain that what they bought was not what they were given. Cheaper to remove the evidence than make up lies to deal with the complaints.

    Engine swaps

I seen one 454 at buddy's with the M35 transmission adapter etc on it. He said it was good to go, a guy took it out of a deuce and put the diesel in. Not sure if that would fit an M211 or 135

    Selectro locking hubs

I think the deuce is the KM2500. found these: http://www.angelfire.com/nb2/jeeppickups/Kia.html http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/rok/images/kia-trucks.gif Most of the web content searching after this comes up with 'crap pages' full of unrelated keywords and drivel. Maybe someone...

building up and installing a large A/C for the S-280

More pics shortly on my website bunkerofdoom.com The evaporator faces to the side because the 34 degree discharge would be a bit much to bear even on a hot day. I might add a plenum or do something else, time will tell. The lines outside on the condenser are ugly, but not much could be done...

building up and installing a large A/C for the S-280

It's 3/32 aluminum skin inside and out bonded to a skeleton made of 2" square tube stock, and pumped full of foam. I think the skeleton is responsible for most of the heat transfer.

    Tranny oil level

reminds me.. I thought mine might be low during the road trip due to a mess underneath (was a small engine oil leak). Pulled into a truck stop at 3 AM right off the highway and asked the mechanic to check the tranny oil level (I was dog tired and eyeing the motel across the way). He got under...

air conditioner horizontal compact 9000 BTU TM

Is the 9000 3-phase? There are 400Hz-3ph ones and single phase ones also but they are rare. I think Shirley's has a 6000 vertical but he was kind of proud of it if I recall. 20 amps is a whole lot for a 6000 BTU. should be more like 7-12 amps. could you have a bad capacitor? If you want to...

building up and installing a large A/C for the S-280

    Radio setup ?

I think the plugs are an add-on for deuces. If it's not in the VRC-12 radio installation manual I don't know. Behind the pass seat is a bracket/hole for a power connector, but I never seen what goes in it.

building up and installing a large A/C for the S-280

There is no shelter forum (hint hint) or is there?, but it's for the S-280 and the only place you find them except on the ground is on a deuce, so... This is an account of building and installing a 12000BTU split-system air conditioner in an S-280 on a deuce. I have been running a small...

    MX-7777 suppressor help needed

It's very interesting. Thanks! Looks like a very big 33V Zener diode, a thermal switch that closes when the chassis reaches a certain temperature, and an electronic temperature sensor that closes when the Zener diode reaches a certain temperature. There is a large 2-pole circuit breaker. The...
