Around here, "TSP" says "Phosphate Free" right on the front of the box.... I was walking past at OSH one day and it caught my eye, I said to my girlfriend, "WTF? How can you have Tri-Sodium PHOSPHATE that is phosphate free?" You used to know what it was, now they only tell you what it ISN'T.

What do you mean by 'lately'? We won a bunch of trailers there last week, M101s, M146, M105.... EUCs just cleared, picking up next week. I was there last week, the lot is full and the place was running full speed. Maybe you're not looking in the right place.... Jon

Thanks for the info Ron, I was mixed up.... I read about tractor protection valves and understand now. So the 2.5 ton trucks and 800 series and older 5-tons do not have this TPV? These trucks have air-hydraulic brakes, is a TPV really necessary? Jon

Be sure you get it right, if you hook it up wrong your oil pressure will be negative. ....bearings sucked full of air and your oil pump blowing bubbles in the pan...

Marti may prefer the pink copper gaskets with the separate fire rings and obviously has had good luck with them, but that is the old style gasket that is prone to failure.

I have all the manuals for the old gassers. For general maintenance of the whole truck you need TM 9-8022, and it has tune-up info in it. The engine overhaul manual is TM 9-8023-1, there are copies of that on eBay right now. Both of those manuals only mention the Holley carb, for the Zenith...
