Haven't really thought about this before, but it's a good point. If I want to flat tow with the M35, OR the M108, I want to be covered. Now how would they insure a crane truck?

How cold is real cold? 15 degrees and below, have to floor mine and wait. It has started at 5 degrees. Not sure if my manifold heater works, but I was using it.

Well, it helps that the axles are 6.72 ratio. I think it would work, but may not for heavier towing. First gear is 6.00, second gear in the stock tranny is 3.31, and 3rd is 1.89.
Can you get a different gearset for your tranny? Would have to pay attention...
Had the same problem on the Hydraulic tank for my dump. Just welded a piece of plate steel across where the strap had rusted the tank out, welded all the way around so it would seal. Worked just fine.

Just had a minor duh moment. 18-21st is wed. thru sat. So are we adding a day? Sunday was included before, but is was just a pack up and leave day. Do we want to show up Tuesday night, or arrive Wednesday? Before we arrived Thursday(afternoon), played Friday and Saturday, then left Sunday...
Yes, a lot of people say buy a civy truck to go fast. And that military truck is designed for slow speeds. I like the look and toughness of a military truck, and don't want to take all day to get somewhere. I've got my deuce up to 60 mph, and plan for another 5 mph.
47 to 55 isn't that much...
I'll throw my hat in the ring here.
I start 2cd gear, except when loaded or on a hill. Can let the clutch out with little to no throttle and it engages with little slippage. Now my engine is turned up some. Can't remember the last time I stalled it, if ever.
When shifting, I single clutch...
Nope, that's smaller than m757/m656?
Guy on here had a thread on them, some sort of prototype with Chrysler engine? Can't remember for sure.
XM410 comes to mind.
Dennis
Found it, CountCv61 has that one, xm410. If you search xm410, and thread odd-ball MV's, its in there.
