Ive located a 543. Theres a pic in my album. Its sat and sat. I know 6yrs and hasnt been touched. Its 5 miles away. To be real honest, i think everything would need overhauled/replaced. Yall gander at it.
In a more familiar format
M543 5 ton wrecker. 11.00r20 tires ok. Running condition...
Wow! I missed that! Good thread and good info. Once i take up residence there, how long before i have to legally register it in state? Oh how nice itd be to have a truck at the in-laws so id have a truck during visits that didn cost an arm and a leg. Got no storage tho. Cant win for loosing on...
My kinda place Boomer. Went to a bar off i17 near cactus during springbreak and couldn pick a fight. I was disappointed. Here, i woulda got one after about 3 words. Normally, im not that ay but my "buddy" was feedin me Petrone on top of 10-15 pitchers. I.. uh.. wasnt myself. Havent had a drink...
Smog, tax, tags, restrictive laws. My wife and i grew up in Glendale but never thought we'd go green. I was just reading another thread where another guy in Glendale got socked by the city gestapo and had to sell. I want no suprises but just starting my research for Az. Ive uncovered many...
BII stuff? Im green when it comes to these. Not the right green either.
Itll likely never get tagged or insured. Off road only, aka yard/farm use.
Leaks and such are natural right?
Was the unit "down the street" an engineering unit in sonjourie(sp i know)?
Howdy. I'll be in the market soon for a 5 ton wrecker and i'd appreciate it if you all would tell me the "NEED TO KNOWS" of them. Im interested mainly in 543's, 816's, and 936's. Recommendations and pointing me in a direction is also welcome.
Thanks fellas
Well this is aimed at gatering factual law based info for New River, Maricopa Co, Arizona only. Im hoping to possibly move sometime in the next few years. I look for my colloection to include a crewcab deuce, a regular cab m35a2, a 5 ton wrecker(undetermined atm), an "M309" (as defined by...
In Ar, a CMV is not defined by end use. The designation of CMV is place on any vehicle weighing 10,000lbs+. I wish i knew more about Arizonas laws but..
Hate to see the Nazi's ran your truck off. Good luck in your new AO
Gotta ground it specifically. Theres an extra screw at the bottom rear of the housing. All instructions ive read say good ground is extremely important.
Forgive my lack of model numbers here.. Gl should have macks, peterbilts, freightliners and various trailers that may or may not require mods come up from time to time that may serve your needs. As far as i can tell from reading the recovery threads, 90±% are pretty much junk that will require...
So if a 395 wont fit an A3 wheel because of the bead, what wheel is made that they DO fit at the bead and who sells it? Eastern? c&c? Imp? Who? Everytime i see a question abt 395's all that ever posted is "the bead is wrong" or some variant. Share the wealth fellas and point us in the right...
Congrats!
Now, if you do decide to drive it, im guessing your route would be south to nashville, across to memphis, then I40 to little rock and then I30 south to tx. If so, BE AWARE that Arkansas requires ANY vehicle over 10k lbs to hit weigh stations regardless of personal or commercial use...
I dont know how it is there, but here, if you are farm related, farm tagged, you dont get stopped, inspected, and no cdl is required. Not even if you weigh 100k+. If you farm in Arkansas they treat you as a god.
Im no god. I dont get any god-like treatment.
