That is a noise supressor for com equipment. Remove the 2 pieces, and no need to replace it.

I'll sell you mine, but it's installed in the M1009 and I won't seperate them, so it will be exspensive...... ;)

By 'converted' I didn't mean that they took the carb off a 350 and then added an ip. They worked with the engine design at hand to create a diesel. In this case, the small block. It was marginal at best to be a durable compression ignition engine. There were other issues than just head gasket...

RE: chevy Yeah, GM took a small block gasoline engine and converted it to diesel. Didn't stand up for obvious reasons. The 6.2's were a diesel designed engine from Detroit Diesel. They will last a long time as with anything else when properly maintained.

My Bad, didn't realize there was a second page to this thread and that the 820 was already mentioned by Chris. Gets my vote though.

How about the M820 as a candidate for a "camper"........ 14' x 17' of living space, heating and A/C included.
