Not to be a broken record, but there is tons of post on trouble shooting no/hard starts. The post will put you on the right track without guessing and spending a lot of time and money. Be careful when charging batteries ---- don't try to crank it while charging because you can fry the control box.

Glowplug light? Is it working? Depending on which box you have, do you hear an audible click when you turn the switch on? If your glow plugs are not working you can spin it over till the starter falls off.

Agreed the 105 bed is an eyesore. We wanted the truck to look like it rolled out of the factory. I get compliments everywhere I go. It took a little extra time to build, but the end result was well worth it. Thanks guys

This it done.. just mounted 16.00s on it today. Cut a full panel out of bed (14 ft) so now its 11 and change..then redid the troop seats-- the original wood was cracking and nasty

Mounted 4 16.00 tires today. WAAAAY bigger than I thought... looks good.

Buy the alternator from 74m-- less headache and your problems are over. Go ahead and get a used/new abs module cause yours is fried.

My buddy wants to drive a 1993 m 998 from central Florida to middle Tennessee pulling a 2800 lb. trailer. The Humvee is mechanically sound, I just think that is quite a road trip with no support. My buddy is not very good around a wrench either. I'm trying to talk him out of the trip as I see me...
