The 1D has a larger intake side and exhaust side. That's it. The impellers on the 1C are smaller and rip the air past the speed of sound thus making the "whisle". Many people prefer the "whistler" turbo. However, I love my 1D because it's quieter and I like to drive 'Storm without...
Guys;
I use State Farm here in Indiana. I have #26,000 plates and use 'Storm whenever I want. I pay $43/month for a $200 deductable full coverage policy. My agent wants to BUY one similar to mine from me! How's that for an insurance agent!
Todd;
That's a mini MB (actually one of the variants). The kits are available from www.m38a1.com and look for the Mini MB link on the home page. I'm planning on getting one for my son when it's time for him to have one.

Yeah, you aught to see his cane and gimp! But seriously, LH has one really cool ride. I've seen it first hand and he's put in quite a bit of TLC on her!

See if you can scavange a set. The shipping costs of sending the parts all over the countryside gets expensive very quickly. I understand if you can't come up with a set. Let me know either way. Thanks!
P.S.- Cinci isn't too far away! Feel free to stop on by! Give me a call if...

Gee. Could I somehow persuade you to create a set for me? Does cash work? I'm using 'Storm mostly for highway purposes and am in a real need to improve fuel mileage. Since my welding machine is down for the moment, I'm looking for some help with the conversion. I can't afford the...

The Selectros are reported to jump the fuel milage from about an average of 7 mpg to near 12 mpg. Those hubs are on my Christmas Wish List (please Santa, PLEASE!!!!) so I am unable to confirm or deny the rumor personally. As far as changing gear ratios, the best place to start is with the...

Shipping is not cheap. If you're looking for the cheapest way to get your truck home go buy airline tickets. This means you're putting faith in quite a bit. Check the previous postings to see what I mean. You may be fortunate in getting a well maintained truck and not need any further...
Matt;
I concur with R 4X4. It's a head gasket. The turbo could have gone at the same time (explaining how you smogged the base). You'll probably need to get a remanned turbo. Replacing the seals can be quite a hassle without the guarantee of getting the seals to seat properly.

Give Clark Truck in West Va. a call (304) 755-8866. They were able to help me do the same thing. I had to swap an injection pump distributor. They walked me through it step by step (and I paid on my cell phone minute by minute!0 and it was well worth it! Also check out our sponsor...

Perhaps this is wishful thinking, however, is a power inverter(or tandem inverters) available that can handle the 28V 26C and convert it to 110v /60 hz for long periods of time? I'm looking for more heavy duty use inverters other than the light duty car inverters I see at 'Zone? If so...
