The 1100s I have are the original bias Non Directional Cross Country (NDCC) tread. I saw some nice 1100s Michelin XL radials on ebay recently. I think they went for a little over $1000/set.
Sodbuster-
I guess we were posting at the same time! The rims were made to run the 47" tall and 15.5" wide super singles (either the 395s or the 15.5s). The backspacing is perfect so the outside of the tire aligns with the outside of the fender/bed and there is room for turning. I flipped...

I basically have two complete "sets" of beadlock rims and an assortment of tires. One set of rims is brand new, never assembled, and one set is like new. The like new set has the Michelin 395/85R20 mounted (as pictured). The new set can be mounted with 395s or 90%+ Michelin 15.5/80R20...

You have a couple choices for super singles on the deuce. Primary options include 1100x20 NDCC, 14.5R20, or 395/85/R20. There are obviously differences in the tread, height and width. Not to mention bias vs. radial. The 1100s and 14.5s are about the same height (43") and the 395s are...

The 5 ton center hole will not fit over the studs on the deuce. It lacks about 1/2", but then you are getting close to the bolt holes on the 5 ton rim. Hope this helps. Please keep us up to date on the progress.
For those that have inquired about the rims and tires, the rims are $200 and the tires are $100 and up, depending on tread. I also have a super single set (1400R20) for the 5 ton if needed.

If you find a lost cost solution for the wheel adapters, please keep us posted. I have several of those 5 ton rims lying around that I could use on a deuce as well.
Spicergear-
If you are going super single, the 395/85R20s are the way to go. In addition to higher speed and better traction, you get a signficant 3" more ground clearance. They look damn good as well! I have a set of 7 mounted on custom made beadlock rims. Go tubeless, forget about the...
What's the lowdown on CARC? Is that Chemical Agent Resistant Coating? What does it do? Should CARC be left alone? What about repainting with something else? Any problems with that?
