I agree about the dropside. I never had one until I got the M923 and I got a wee bit over 8 tons of gravel to repair my driveway. It was nice dropping a side and just pushing it out :) I wish one of my deuces had dropsides too.
That fill dirt is high. The SB2 that I got was $7.50 a ton...

Welcome to the site!!! There is a ton of info on here. You can download the TMs and I would suggest looking through the CUCV section at all the threads.
Well that's cool. Now you are going to be missing out now :) Not only will I be there with some of my MVs but I also got our local guard unit bringing some of their stuff [thumbzup]
Thanks. It was actually more involved than I expected. It was also alot of work too. It was a tight fit with the air intake but I kind of like that because I know if the tire comes loose it will take alot for it to come out :) I plan on running a small safety chain across the front of the...
I got it installed!!! Finally! I did have some modifications and made a support bracket. It only took a trip to Lowe's for some hardware, a trip to Tractor Supply for some more hardware, a trip to Harbor Freight for some cheap tools, and a lot of cussing. I didn't move the bed back which may...
I re-installed the back bench seat along with my newly painted spare tire holder and gerry can holder. I also installed the combo pintle hitch that I bought. It got too dark before I could take some pictures. I'll take them tomorrow and post them. I also ordered 8 Bosch Duraterm glow plugs...
Really nice :) I didn't spray mine it doesn't look nearly as good. I think if I ever do it again I'll spray it on. I'll have to go check out your thread on it.
I was using the Steelsoldiers Facebook group for my fix. I do agree on how much of a tool this site has become. I was lost because I was wanting to do some research.
Yeah that is what I used, Dupli-color. I have no idea why I keep calling it Duraliner.
As far as cleaning out the dirt and debris, I used my water hose and just hosed it out real good. I would park it on a slight incline and spray toward the back. Well that was after I used my shop vac to...
I heard they were done that way for the Marine Corp trucks so they could add a winch if they wanted. Mine is set up the same and was a Marine Corp truck.
jeffhuey1n, Thank you. I did the floor from front to back. Prep work depends on how you want to do it. I didn't tape anything off so in some spots it looks like my 3 year old daughter painted it which by the way she actually did some painting but not those spots :) For me I just ripped out...
Well I finally got around to Duralining the interior. It was my first time using a DIY bedliner. It wasn't too bad. I ended up barely using the roller, instead I used the paint brush for most of it. Here are some before and after pictures.
