Steel, I deep sixed the fan idea but did get the switch and dash light installed. Worked great but I do miss the burnt brake drum smell....

Integrated Parts Systems (IPS) They have them in the Military Parts/Body section. There is a long one and short one. $27 and $26 ea. You will need some small rivets to fasten the front ones at the top. Makes a world of difference.

Thanks Gimp. I have contacted him several times but he has not had them. I guess he got out of that business. I sure hope to find a new source.

I agree PB. Even a builder can make mistakes. On a side note, that engine sure looks clean. Since I am into overhauling my 230 flathead, I like to get information from any source that may be helpful. What I don't understand is how the headgasket can affect the distributor and the busted...

I know the feeling Zout. I am not experienced enough to do many of these things myself and must rely on others. Usually it works out but sometimes is rises up and bites you in the A$$. Life goes on. Your threads have done much to teach SS members and I read every post. Thanks, TWM
