The snout nose look is for the extra large cooling radiator and oil cooler radiation. As Dilvoy stated, an A2 is a non turbo and M1113/M1114 is turbo. I am working on a M1114 with a special forces top but I call it an A2.
Regards,
Bart,
I sure would like to walk that field of hmmwv's for they are A2's!!! The type I am currently building. Boy, a LOT of my questions would get answered what goes where!
Seeya Bart.
I agree emmado22 for all the new mounted tires I have seen are mount on the rim the same way. Simple.
Interesting note: On my unimog 406's manual, they want the front tires to be "backwards" for off road work. Since the mog has lockers at the axels, it provides similar traction for forward...
Welcome Michigander!
The more green iron in MI the better! That appears to be a good looking truck. Have fun with it and make sure you take it to Ft. Custer, Clare and Grayling next year!
Regards from Eaton Rapids, MI.
There is another....
12 bolt for the radials with the extra hole #3850 weight rating and stainless steel bolts and nuts (A2 version).
Bart, have fun with your hmmwv! I may want to drive it on my next over the pond trip!!!
Regards,
Paul,
A company here in Lansing does spray welding for cast metal and they are reasonable. If you strike out on a junker unit let me know and I will send you their phone number. I had them spray weld the front bearing retaining assembly on rig of mine and it is still holding!

Hi George,
Thanks. Yes, this serp setup seems to be nicer and should not have belt slap ( ). I am trying to locate a new bracket for a/c compressor and if I find one, I will install that setup. I am going to lift the tub either 0.5" or 1.0". The intake manifold that sits above the...
Thanks guys! And no the golden colored ps pulley is not actually gold!
Lane, you get a ride if I get to drive Argyle again! If all goes well this truck should be at Ft. Custer (best case) but not finished, Clare (most likely) and Grayling (better darn well be done by then)! I like long term...
M37 are great trucks! To think I missed one 8 miles from me!!! I have had and have several M37's so let me know if I can help. Regarding the 24vdc, if you have most of the military 24vdc equipment, keep it that way (my .02). Also you have a good straight tail gate!!! The slop in the tranny...
The guy who nicely lifted his 5 ton bed is in WA State...forget name and he bought a hemmet. This looks like it with a new paint job. Also, I think it was sold to someone in lower CAL. Maybe either one will chime in...
Nice looking truck though!
Well I did a lot this weekend but ran out of time to fire the engine. I did however prelube the cylinders and with glow removed used the starter to turn over the engine. With no back pressure, it spins nice and fast and builds oil pressure plus primes the ip system. Pictures are of the new...
I have seen a Ford 8n/9n with large rear tractor sized ndt tires at a salvage yard near Quincy Florida at Parramore (sp?). I believe it was a rusty green and this was around 5-6 years ago. Sorry no pictures...
Today the new A2 reverse rotation fan blade arrived and this weekend I pick up a new hydraulic fan clutch! The one I picture a few posts up is a civilian unit...you can tell by the number of holes (civi 4, mili 8) and the center hole for the civi much larger. Anyway, I have it and hope to have...
This is a great thread full of useful information. I was just about to install a pyro on my 6.5TD hmmwv and was wondering where a good location would be. My turbo has a mechanically adjusted actuator (Predator motorsports Rapboost actuator)... From reading this, it would be easiest post...
Welcome Peter!
I agree with Chris on cost and transportation for armor. Plus make sure the paper trail for the armor is 100%...
Pictures of "your" Leopard would be cool! Post away!
Nice project! Parts are available just start asking!
To all of you new hmmwv owners: obtain the manuals! the pdf ones on ebay are a good start! They explain all most everything and locations of different items...not to mention service intervals, etc.
