Does anyone know the difference between a MEP-016C and a MEP-026C generator (Chris??)??? They both look the same to me (motor, generator, panel and chassis). Any input would be appreciated!

No prob! I drilled a small hole through the little starter hole and put a small nut and bolt through it to secure it better. I'll post a pic real soon.

The alternator is degigned to replace juice used in the starting process and maintain the charge in the batteries. It is not designed to be a re-charger. Using the alternator to recharge the batteries only burns out the brushes and stator windings. Using a stereo amplifier also kills...
