They have the Air Show every other year so they will be having it this year. I will be letting everyone know about it because I will be displaying my MVs there and will be needing some others to join me as well.
Congrats!!! Glad that you got it home. I'll have to try and swing by some time later this week and check it out. I'm going to give that guy a call and see what he has and if he will be around Friday.
Thanks. Of course after I posted this I ran across it in the 289-20 TM where it talks about bleeding the system and there it was. I figured I would have jumped the gun and posted here too quickly. I'll eventually quit that.
I have looked at Figure 18 in the 289-20P TM for the fuel filter housing and how it is assembled. I'm having issues with what connects to the line that I have circled in the picture. I didn't take this apart so I have no clue if anything goes there that is why I am asking here. I may be...
Thank you doghead. I guess I was looking in the wrong TM. I was looking in the -34 and of course couldn't find it. At least I wasn't looking in the deuce TMs :)
I haven't even tried my M1009 yet. I was going to bypass the whole SF-97 and just use the invoice from the auction. I plan on calling the main office in Little Rock before I do just to make sure plus I wanted to get the info so I can post it up on here for any other Arkansas folks.
Cool just keep me in mind. They have a small Arkansas National Guard Museum on Camp Robinson in Little Rock. It has some cool displays outside. I like it because it is an excuse to get onto base and oogle at all the MVs.
I wish I had known you were coming through Little Rock and you had more time. We all could have grabbed lunch or something. It's always nice to meet more fellow members :)
Yeah I was leaning towards just flushing a bunch with water. I wanted to check to see if any other CUCV guys may have used something that worked really well. As far as anti cavitation corrosion inhibitor, where would I get that? Local truck stop or auto parts store? This is my first real...
Well it is finally home so now the work begins. Are there any suggestions about the heat? I'm missing the heater core and blower assembly inside the engine. I was wondering if there are any alternatives. If not I figure I will find one at a junkyard or someone parting a M1009 out. Also...
Lucky for me, mine has already been taken apart :) I need to find a heater core and blower unit. Any ideas where I can get NOS or a take out instead of the aluminum one.
As far as jacks and stands... I bought mine at Harbor Freight. They were priced just right and work fine. I bought 2 bottle jacks and 2 jack stands. I will eventually get around to getting at least 2 more of each.
