What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

1911 is the year that the manufacturer of the CUCV was founded! Also, one sweet "weapon of war"!

I thought the only thing 24v on the cucv was the starter and glow plug system. Mine is all 12v lighting (stock). I had to put 12v bulbs in the M101A1 trailer I got for it. I don't know the guy moving to Summerville. Only through the thread he had on his moving. He had someone already mention...

Good to know on the handling. So it had 12v bulbs or did you change them over? I think the humvees (what this trailer is designed to be pulled by) have 24v trailer socket unlike our cucvees. If your bulbs are a bit dim you could brighten them up with the right 12v replacements. They are bulbs...

After getting on my computer, I could see the image. Darn tapatalk needs banned! Very nice trailer. Thanks for posting that. I have been considering one of those.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Just kick tapatalk to the curb and make this site be on regular site mode on your phone and not mobile. Works for me, unless someone uploads thru tapatalk

I'm happy with either, as long as it tastes good!

MV of the Month January 2016

Ok. Here's the pic to use. Well, papabear, I figured out on my computer how to delete the thumbnails/attachments. It is so much easier when you can see the screen vs. the phone.

MV of the Month January 2016

Well, I cannot delete the "attached thumbnails". When trying to delete pics, it puts them as thumbnails. Maybe you can do it Papabear.

MV of the Month January 2016

I did and it was an epic fail! Maybe made it 3-4 feet before they went two directions.

MV of the Month January 2016

Lets try the CUCV/M1008A1 one more time. If the combo may not be allowed with the "more than one MV/month rule" than it is the CUCV to vote for. If the combo of connected vehicles can be used than it is the combo.

    Have you named you truck?

My CUCV, I call Chev (ch pronounced like the ch in "cheese"). The M929 I was calling Sand Dune when it was giving me a hard time, as it was just sand colored but not in motion. That was just little things from the long-term sitting time since Army quit using it. Little each, but plenty. It has...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Ok. It was 11° this morning and time to see how the four batteries held up compared to just two. It cranked over very fast (like it was 80° out) and held up to a total of 30 seconds or so cranking. The 8.3, of course, didn't fire at first without the ether button. Then after about the fourth...
