You better like them, they have been on the drawing board since before 1997 I'll bet if you took all the money spent on R&D and then the cost to modify the ones already build that failed and the repair cost to the HMMWVs that the bumper fell off and then to buy more of the new design...

If you plan on keeping it close to original, the 16.5 tires are hard to find, a 3/4 ton/1 ton Ford or Dodge has 8 lug wheels that are 16" and will interchange. Wayne

BTW Glad you made it OK and I didn't see your other tie down points but the spare tire holder was not the best thing to tie to.

Last thing I would worry about is the landing gear type, best thing in the world is the old style bumper jack for the 1980-90? Ford full size cars or if you have a bigger budget a Hi-Lift jack is nice and it is also good for helping out the non-6x6 crowd that get into a bind.
