Just rec'd word of Bill's convoy (about 1/2 of his trucks) heading South on I-75 towards home.
The other half are parked at an undisclosed semi secure location.
If all goes well they will get home b-4 dark.
To everyone who was there, sure wish we all had more time with out all the "which truck...
I got out of there with what I previewed & bid on The lot# on the truck.
As expected many were upset, I kept my cool and pointed out that there was no legal basis for the # on the yellow sticker, per the GL contract & terms. Waited a couple hours (it seemed) for GL to make up their mind.
& I...
Lot's of useful info can be found by searching for it.
a billion threads covering the same dang question makes getting useful info with the search function more difficult.
Most times you'll get your answer quicker by searching or reading the FAQ's or even the data plate on the truck.
The GVWR...
Since it is a long bed duece, I trust you meant , 'compared to the std bed deuce'
17' 4" with 2 section passenger side drop.
add a winch and these things are over 28' long
here's mine
I looked at that truck during the preview, I didn't preview it, just checked it out on the way by.
I'd say it is about a foot taller than a std cargo cover, which would put it well over 10'
I'm thinking that breaking the box down will be easier than pulling 8 wheels off.
I sold the rounded section from above the cab to the rear compartment to an SS member in Tampa, Florida. (GrimTrucker)
His recovery / transport plan fell apart.
picture is of inside
approx size 42 inch x 79 x 24
not heavy just flimsy & bulky.
coyotegray - New - yes, easy to find - no.
drgreg - most notable difference is in the brake feel, as with anytime you go to a larger tire it takes more brake pedal to stop it, the 1.5 to 2 inch height increase is most noticable when climbing down off the truck. Drives smoother with the...
Finally got the 11.00R20's installed.
Those XL's weigh ALOT! Way heavier than the 9.00-20 NDT's.
Holy cow what a project getting some of the old NDT's off,
newer ones popped right off, had 4 of them that took forever to break the bead, and those tires did not come off un damaged either...
A friend is wanting a 6x6 to put a wrecker body on for his towing / recovery service.
I talked him out of a deuce and into a 5ton so far.
I've been searching without luck so far for measuremnets
Looking for length of frame behind cab/spare and position of rear axles on the frame.

They are on the road, likely near the MI / OH border now.
I gave them your # Chris.
I think they are planning an overnight in or near Bowling Green.
Then continue into GA Thursday.
Well it was going to be in the 4th of July parade here, now it will be in a 4th of July parde in GA.!
Well I hope I'm in the first group,
I'll get what I previewed as long as they don't switch lot# stickers before I get there.

It still adds to the trill!
Sounds like a convoy coming up, Bill!
Actually that one is a M919, which was tagged lot #5635, looks to have gone for $1340.
Maybe that's the one they try to give me ....................
Sent my EUC in already, need to be one of the first to recover, that way I can get to my winch truck before someone else lays claim to...
I sold my M886, it will be driving to its new home Thursday Friday 7-2 & 7-3.
I have no reason to believe they'll have any issues with the truck.
They have a chase vehicle & a 20 yr old soldier with them on this adventure.
PM me with #'s & locations relative to I-75 if you think you could help...
