m1008,m1028,m1028a2,m1010,m1031 all need additive the m1009 has a different rear end a 10 bolt gov lock or as some call it a gov bomb!!! Complete piece of garbage for a rear end!!!

I thought you dont need posi additive in a gov lock since it has the springs not a friction surface???

I used brake cleaner to clean and prep worked good!!!

I hope my shipper doesn't have a problem!!!!!

The common theme seems to be gen light bulb burns out, Joe blow mechanic cant figure out why alt wont charge and then attempts to hack the wire's up.

The biggest problem with these trucks is people don't know how to work on them and butcher the wiring every one ive bought off a non military sale was hacked up!! Read the tm on here. Post some pics of engine bay so i can look at it. Ive rewired about 10 of these trucks!!!!!!

Not in the chicago burbs trucks and overweights are big money to these towns, the police have pickups with portable scales driving around they pull you over and weigh you on the spot. I got hit last year driving the dump truck full of mud cost the company $900.00. Its easy money for these towns!!!!

If your glow plug breaks off in the head pull the injector and use a magnet tip to get it out! The glow plugs should be 12 volts not 24 volts only the starter is 24 volts Al !!!
