Hard to tell what could have been done in its life. Either way 4 or 6 leafs its still more trailer capacity than needed! Thanks for the info. I will check my other two trailers when we pick them up Tuesday or Thursday.
Im one of those guys that had some lots switched on me. My First EUC took about 3 months! When I arrived at the base they had 9 trailers left. I had won 9 trailers. 4 were the originals I had bid on. The other 5 were in very sad shape indeed! I had all of my pictures printed and in hand...
OH I see the difference. That metal Plate that the Military added! lol. I believe these axles them selves are rated to 10,000 lbs. The springs Im sure are more than capable of 5K. I have always found it funny that the M101 trailers were rated for 1,500 lbs after seeing how over built they are.
From the pictures my brother just sent me I cant see ANY difference between the standard M101 3/4 ton rated trailer and these M116 genset trailers (suspension wise that is). Here are the pics from the M116 trailer.
Hi All,
Well My brother picked up one of my three Gensets I won. The trailers have been modified to carry 3,000 lbs vs the stock 1,500 lbs ratings these M116 originally came with. I will post some pictures of the suspension here soon. For now here is what I have. Is this a common thing the...
I too would like to pick up one of these M1009 but my Neighbors experience has spooked me away. Generators and big equipment like Dueces ect dont scare me as much. But I can just see a 19 year old Private running the **** out of these smaller vehicles.
Friend went with his wife to pick up his "Starts and Runs" M1009. It started and it "ran" but it didnt move. LOL. He came back pretty discusted. I went with him a week later with my truck and trailer and picked it up. The tranny was toast and the rear drive shaft was bent to ****. Its...
So what your saying Dave is that you really dont do the dishes. I think we all knew you were being funny to begin with. I for one did at least.
Why do you do dishes? Am I missing something?
Sounds like to me you need to post a "To Anyone who will take her" AD in some Metro Sexual forum. I think thats what they call guys who act gay but are straight.........:cookoo: Good Luck with your next wife. Maybe we should have a couples...
Thanks. Something about being able to have a real generator with you anywhere you go is a good feeling! My plan is to have one available to run around town and keep my neighbors fridges cold if we ever have another major power outage.
I understand what you are saying but he now uses a gas civy 5K gen and all he needs to do is turn off the lights. I MEP 002A is way under rated and will outperform that gas generator hands down. I would say go with a 10 MEP but if the 5KW MEP will work then he will have half the cost in fuel...
Batteries would be a concern if they are the original military ones. Belts and hoses need to be inspected and replaced if any sign of wear. Fuel filter would be another thing to change on the top of my list as well as engine oil and filter. Tires in good shape? Brakes work good? No oil...
A 5KW MEP 002A should be plenty of power since they are really 7 kw generators. From what ive been told and have read they are pretty bullet proof. You may need to fine tune her but after that it should give you thousands of hours of trouble free use. They have a 15,000 hour life before...
