I would agree on the weight rating similar to the pintle. Mostly, I tow a small utility trailer with. Although a couple of times, I have had my uncles 18' dual axle utility trailer on it, granted it was loaded lightly both times. Whats the weight of the camper you are referring to?

I can tell you that the spacer tube is 2.5" tall, if that helps. Honestly, this could be made with just about anything. I grabbed what I had.

I would highly suggest the 4bt instead of the 6. I don't think it will take much work 'converting' things for the 4bt. Just my 2cents

Tom, I have a M116 Genset trailer for sale.... Complete with bows/canvas. I can even toss in a second set of bows if you wanted to make some 'stake sides' for it. (thats why I have the second set)

Why not just have it tested, rebuilt/replaced? A lot easier to just put another alternator in, than to rewire the truck for 12v, and replace the starter!
