    HEMTT rims on M915 series

Will the HEMTT rims fit the CCC/AMG M915-series of trucks?

interesting idea - German WWII prime mover

Was thinking on the way back from Rausch Creek, all those deuces that get turned into bobbed 4x4s, that there are WAY too many rear axle spares out there compared with the supply of front axles. Then I remembered the guy in MVM that is selling a 5-ton with 4 rear axles, and I started thinking...

I found out my deuces’ name is Bert

We had a deuce here who's name was Elmo. I also saw a picture of an M-1 tank commanded by Ernie, so Bert may have indeed maintained that truck.

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

It's common for a unit to clean out their cann points (Cannibalization Points) once in a while, and the hulks end up on GL. There was a 5-ton auction recently in Kansas, a bunch of 939-series 5-tons in scavenged condition made it out. No demil required. Get some new parts, Lego-build it up...

2009 Rausch Creek mv rally sign up thread!!!

Leaving work at 3pm today, hope to get up there around 7-7:30 or so. Will be in a civvy truck, so someone better save a passenger seat for my butt. I'll bring beer and cigars.

Ballpark Estimate, M-29c CO to CT

Since it's not a full load, I'd reckon that maybe $1 a mile might be a ballpark guess, as long as the transporter is hauling other stuff. If not, $2-3 a loaded miles might be more realistic.

tools for WWII jeeps and other trucks

Does anyone have any good pics or detailed information about the correct tools that were issued along with the WWII jeeps and other WWII smaller trucks, such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.? I go to flea markets all the time, and I see plenty of older tools, was wondering if I should be...

    Toolbox

Who knows? Last toolbox from Craftsman I bought was made in good ol' US of A. If it's made here, great! If not, may his private parts turn OD green and start smelling like rotten canvas. He'll find out soon enough if it's made overseas - if so, the metal will start rusting within a year...

    Toolbox

For a cover to keep dirt and grime out, might wanna cut a flat piece of sheet steel, hinge it on the bottom edge of the front of the tool box, and have foam sealant around the outside edge of the sheet to seal it off. Very cool! I like the concept!

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

Look on the bright side guys - deuces are still available on GSA's website, and they look in pretty decent shape....

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

I'm not sure if I believe the demil code change, at least not permanently. These truck have been surplused out for 50 years or more, I doubt they have suddenly become a threat to FedGov. I can imagine some GS-6 sitting in a cubicle within the Pentagon, watching CNN, and if he sees a beat up...

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

Bump to top. Currently 1 M35A2 listed on GL in Texas. SO, maybe they will begin appearing again.

2009 Rausch Creek mv rally sign up thread!!!

I will definitely be going, but when and how is still up in the air. I have been suffering from swine flu, and now bronchitis, so I am under the weather and if I am better on Friday, I may have to stay here and work to make some $$$ while I can. Plus, if I do go, I might only be bringing the...

Wreckerman's excellent adventure at Ted's Trucks

I might have to make a road trip - I see some parts I need in those pics. Look at the HEMTT and PLS units in that yard! Those would be some COOL rides if anyone put them back together.

Weekend at Bernie's - and his radios

For those into green radios, I had to share. I made a trip to Bernie M's place in Smyrna DE a couple months back. Great guy, for those who have been to Aberdeen, you have met him before. He showed me his ham radio shack in the barn, and my eyes about popped out of their sockets! Look at the...

M1101 trailer that sold on GL 10/15

Rarity plays a part. There are only a few of the newer 3/4 ton trailers out there in civvy hands. Ask emmado22, he owns one of them. I saw a few for sale at TNJ Murray last Spring, price around $3K each IIRC. They had damage to repair, however.

M1101 trailer that sold on GL 10/15

Did anyone here get the M1101 trailer for the HMMWV that sold on GL yesterday, 10/15? Last I looked at it the high bid was $3,300 or so. It was perfect condition, and it was mislabelled as a M101 trailer. Didn't fool the bidders, though.

    transient suppressor MX-7777

I know the MX-7777 is used with the VRC-12 series of radios. What is the correct suppressor for the SINCGARS series of vehicle radio installations, including the RT-1439 and RT-1523?
