Is there a trick to taking down the tire/rim on the M37? I am used to seeing a small notch in my deuce rims that allow me to insert a prybar and lever the locking ring off. I have a couple M37 rims here and there are no notches in the lock ring. ???
Nah, I checked. I don't see any weird stress, bulging or thinning any place on the hook. It's just a different hook design. But thanks for trying to make me look bad! :-D
Just my two cents, but they are higher than the so-called "folding" steps. And if I did bend them, I'm out $5 for a tailgate step, and not $95 for a new folding one.
I prefer the rear steps on the tailgate, unbolt them and attach them to the front of your truck instead. I got mine from TNJ Murray for $5 each, I just had to go there and take them off a junker truck myself.
A couple more pics - first one are the long medium and the short heavy towbar I got there. The long medium is the same thickness as the medium, but the legs do not extend. It's about 8-9 feet long, heavy towbar ends. The short heavy was meant for the M125 cargo truck, used to tow the 8-inch...
OldChev - yes he had some 5KW diesels, but mostly 5KW gassers. You'll have to check their website for more info:

Jeepman - I don't know, they sell them fairly reasonably on eBay all the time, without title (can't sell it with a title in PA unless you are a licensed...
I hope you're not referring to the M93 Fox. You'll be waiting a LONG time for an answer, I don't think they are legal to own, or none have ever been released. Kinda like asking if anyone owns a M109 Paladin - perhaps 1 person does, but does he/she log in here?
Trailer's all hooked up and loaded with a towbar and two deuce exhaust pipes for LanceRobson, heading out at 0500 with ShieldWolf37. His first MV show in almost 3 years! :-D Look forward to seeing everyone again!
One last couple pics - anyone know what these things are? I found a pile of 20 or so of them, but I didn't get them, since I didn't know what they were.
Man, there's nothing like 11 hours of sleep to refresh someone after a long trip and loading stuff up form the junkyard!
The scrapping continues at Coleman's, but get this - more stuff is arriving daily! Apparently Coleman's has a couple scrap disposal contracts with local military bases...
I'm baaa-aaaack! And I picked up a PILE of stuff. Will post pics in a couple hours, I need to get a couple hours of sleep since I've been up since 0100. But I'll give you all a word for the day:
TOWBARS
I agree - I believe they are called "yarders". They should have a tower with a bunch of winch cables running off of it in order to tow the felled trees up the mountain to the loading area. The one I saw on the history channel was based on a M4 Sherman chassis. It's a shame, but a bunch of...
You'll be saving a lot of pennies. Last time I heard a quote for how much those cost, they were about $5,000 PER WHEEL.
There always seems to be a recurring thread about what they would be like on a deuce. Some say that "it would make my deuce go anywhere." The deuce goes anywhere now, I...
Will second that - I have ordered from Stengel Bros. before and they are a top-notch company to deal with. FAST shipping on orders for hard to find parts. I routinely ordered things from them on Monday afternoon and it was in my hands by Wednesday. You won't got wrong with them.
