M624 brought home from Norway today

Not with the ultra-deep fording kit installed! Might take him a couple months, though. Better have a good supply of scuba tanks in the bed.... :-P

    Pig cooker/smoker trailer?

Remember, that no matter what you make the stove part out of - it must be BARE STEEL on the inside to begin using it, or you will poison your food. The outside can be any high temp paint - NO CARC!

    Pig cooker/smoker trailer?

Neat idea, Daniel! I thought you sold your old smoker/BBQ trailer? I guess you wanted this to make a military-themed BBQ trailer! I saw a pic of one recently, I think it was on this site in the photo album section. Someone made one out of a pioneer tool kit trailer or a M149 water trailer...

    installed winch brackets on deuce

Yup, that is where they went - I installed lower shackles along with the uppers for a quasi-M35A3 bumper look. The A3s have double the shackles, not sure why, but I got more places to hook onto. Also note the dual steps, on each side of the bumper, makes for easy climbing up onto the bumper...

    installed winch brackets on deuce

Been a while since I took these pics, but I thought I would share them. In September, I got all the parts together for a winch install on my deuce. I bought Builder77's winch off of him 3 days before he died ( ), follow up bad news to that story is his winch leaks like a sieve, and needs...

Deuce spring seats VS. HEMTT spring seats

Forgot to post this - these are my new HEMTT seats. Well, they are new to me. They need new cushioning and new covers, and a repaint, but for $100 for the pair, SHIPPED, I couldn't bitch too much. Will need to clean them up before Aberdeen and install for a nice SMOOOOOOOTH ride.

Going to Coleman's again - what you need?

Well, I'm up early, but the weather forecast is calling for rain all day today, and nothing sucks more than picking through a junkyard ankle-deep in mud while a cold rain is coming down. SO, I will be going on Monday, they are calling for sunshine and a high of 35 at Coleman's that day. I'll...

Going to Coleman's again - what you need?

Okay, going up to Coleman's again, either tomorrow or Monday. I have a short list of things that others want me to look for. If you have any specific requests for items that you know they have, or may be there in the back 40, let me know and I'll pick them up for you. Down side is, my...

    ShieldWolf37's nice M37 in resto

Wanted to post a couple pics of my friend Ralph's M37. He's on this site as ShieldWolf37, but rarely is able to login. Lives down the road from dm22630 and me. Bought in nice shape in 2006, been sitting since, but he's been fighting ignition issues. He finally broke down and got the...

M109 brackets, what are they for???

From David Doyle's Standard Catalog of Military Vehicles, page 139: "The M109 trucks also had provision for mounting bow, allowing canvas to be fitted to disguise the vehicle as a cargo truck" Also, from later on in the text, different vehicle but more explanation, page 279: "This Ben-Hur...

    how much is it worth

What papercu said. If you can get it running, maybe as high as $2500, but start low. The worst she will say is "no" and she'll counter offer. I'd start at $500 myself.

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

Perhaps this thread should be locked? The answer to our fears has been given, and the matter seems resolved. Any further discussion would be rumors at best, and could lead to more unsupported speculation.
