Well, I finally got around to purging the motor oil from the Allison transmission in my A3. I bought five gallons of Dexron III from NAPA (NAPA Brand). Before I started, I drove the truck 10 miles to make sure the fluid was thoroughly hot. I drained the pan with the big drain plug, and refilled...
I talked with CM today and they were extremely helpful. I was told that the CTIS system on the M35A3 is now obsolete and they don't stock parts anymore. I was told that the A3 CTIS was obsoleted about 7 years ago. They are currently concentrating on CTIS systems for the Stryker vehicle. I...
I would go ahead and replace the MC since they can be picked up for a reasonable price and there is very little additional labor involved. Then you will know you are 100% on this part of the brake system. I would also never consider using anything but DOT 5.
Does anyone know of a source for NOS M35A3 CTIS wheel valve repair kits. There are detailed instructions on how to rebuild the CTIS wheel valves in the TM, but I have never seen NOS kits for sale. I have not yet tried the manufacturer. It appears to be relatively easy to refurbish the wheel...
Mine stays at zero psi and then jumps to 120 as well and every A3 I've seen does the same thing. I've been told that this is normal, but I don't know why. I'm going to study the A3 compressed air system in detail and find out what is going on. I really don't think anything is wrong with the...
An update on my title problems for my M35A3.
As reported previously, I re-submitted my title application through my local DMV county office (Towns County) after having been declined at the main state office. I have now received a letter from the Georgia Dept of Revenue stating that I owe 7% of...
Congratulations on winnning your deuce! Call the local GL rep and ask if he thinks the truck will run, if it was driven onto the site. He may also know if it has a brake pedal or if it goes to the floor. The brakes are the most important part. Also ask if they can slave it for you to start...
While replacing a rear wheel on my M35A3 with one I picked up from Big Camo Truck, I needed to use my 3/4' impact wrench to loosen the lug nuts. I hooked up to the emergency port on my A3 and was only able to remove one lug nut. Raising the RPM to 1500 allowed me to get another one loose. I was...
Congratulations on getting a Deuce! You will enjoy the recovery. I'm assuming you got an M35A2? If you want to make the ~200 mile trip to Hiawassee in the North Georgia mountains, I have both an M35A2 and M35A3 and you are welcome to drive either. Neither is difficult to drive, especially...
