It is fine the way it is for normal driving, open hole. The plug next to the open hole is not the transmission drain. it simply is a storage boss to keep the plug in. You would move the plug from where it is and install it in the open hole if you where going to ford deep water.

My frames where toast also so I needed the whole assembly.
I had a machinist I know make these spacers to place between the light poles and the cab mount. Moves the pole away from the cab ~ 1/4”. With all the rain I haven't had time to try them yet.
