    mep002a injector pump?

Rusty, I called 1-800-628-6894. The plunger guide was still $15 plus shipping. I also bought a kit# KT85166 for $54, not sure exactly what it comes with but it should at least have all the seals and stuff. Because of the holiday I probably won't get the parts until Thursday or Friday.

    mep002a injector pump?

Yup, it looked like a thin layer of dark brown crud stuck to the delivery valve. Last night I pulled the pump and tore it down. The control shaft and plunger were pretty stiff as well as the metering sleeve block... Not to mention the busted Dogbone (plunger guide). So I just made a list of...

    mep002a injector pump?

I'm working on an -003A I just picked up and I'm having the same "no fuel output" issue with the IP. I pulled the delivery valve out last night and cleaned it but I've got 2 questions for the IP Guru's... The Ambac service manual indicates that the delivery valve is an assembled part, but on...

MEP parts from Gulf Coast in Baytown Tx

Seems to me this is not the first thread I've seen about people having issues with the "customer service" or lack there of at this place. I think I'll steer clear of them! Everyone seems to have good luck with William Delk, not so much with Tom....

I hate copper thieves, especially when they have wire cutters and access to an -004a

The sad part is most of these people get away with their actions... BUT luckily every once in a while there's that one extra stupid criminal that gets caught! I remember working at Leviton my first year out of college and one of the maintenance guys there told me a story about a guy who stole a...

    Torch Set Information Needed

Sounds like you guys are lucky to have more flexible rules on filling tanks than we have here in RI! Here you can fill small bottles on an exchange basis (provided the one you exchange has a valid hydro stamp) once you go above either 80 or 120 CF you have to either lease the tank from the...

Which Diesel Generator Would You Recommend or NOT Recommend?????

So we've had some good discussions here as to the size generator you need, personally I see no need to go bigger than 10K. I run 5K units with no problem, but I think the 5K will struggle and possibly fail ( trip the breaker) if you are running a 5 ton A/C even if you do practice good load...

    It says 65hz

Well, the good news is it sounds like your generator is working fine, just you transducer is shot. I'd say that if the kill-a watt says 60, you're at 1800 RPM, not much chance you're over-revving it... Now its up to you to either stay with just a kill-a-watt, get an alternative gage setup ( such...

    Yes, that's it.

    MEP 003A Unstable Voltage

Exactly what everyone else said.... Mine was doing the same thing and I found the 1K pot on the VR to be intermittent. Some times a few turns in either direction will clear it up, otherwise I found a replacement on ebay, just verify the length before you buy. Almost all are .75" long. The one...

    It says 65hz

Sounds to me like your frequency transducer has given up on you. I think the most common failure mode is that it will peg the gage high when it goes bad. If you're lowering your RPM's and the needle stays pegged you can pretty much bet its all done. If you want to rule out everything else, take...

MEP-002A control panel relay failed? Any thoughts?

Where was the throttle when you took the pictures? The arm isn't touching the stop screw, so if you were maxed out on your cable you might be able to adjust the cable ( unless it's already at the end of the thread ) to get more travel. Straightening out that arm will also give you more travel...

It's been 3-1/2 years but now its finally worth it!

Awesome! The same storm was predicted to hit us last night as well, but we got off easy! Just a few heavy downpours, a little lightening and 5 minutes worth of these crazy up and way, way down brown-outs... Had the 002A's ready to go, but luckily didn't need them.

    General Mcgregor's Partial Restoration

Looking good... I'd try testing your sprayer with the Behr unthinned. If it doesn't spray good, you can try a small amount of water, but not much. Water does funny things besides reducing the viscosity. It can cause problems if you go too heavy with the water. It can also cause runs and spotting...

    MEP-002a Refresh

Looks fantastic! out of curiosity are you going to stencil up the ASK or paint it tan and leave it clean? Good work!

    Aux light wiring question

If you really want to get fancy, wire it up with a SPDT feeding the 2 relays for high and low beam, then install another SPST or momentary switch connecting (and disconnecting ) the 2 trigger wires going from the SPDT to the relays, that way you can have High, Low and Momentary "Both" if you...

    Crazy battery disconnect problem

Did you just pull posts A and B off the upper left and lower right batteries? Its hard to tell in the picture, but I think doing that would still leave the lower left and upper right batteries powering the truck. I think that is also what Gimpy is saying. If you want to be able to disconnect a...

Connected my MEP-803A the proper way as my home standby generator... Install pics...

Glockfan, excellent work! your setup looks great. I don't think you will need any more filtration or water separation, but if you really feel the need to filter the vent on the tank you could try adapting a disposable dessicant filter they sell for paint spray guns. They come with 1/4" NPT M/F...

mep003a percent rated current gage says 50% with AC circuit breaker off.

Once you get the hot start problem fixed, maybe try using the TM and ohm out the CT/CVT and see if you've got a bad winding somewhere. It's a pretty quick process. At least rule out the CT/CVT because they do occasionally go bad, just not common failure. You might also want to check the S8...

Anyone Deal With Green Mountain Generators?

CT-Mike, Depending on your final decision, I'm in RI and have 3 MEP-002A's that are fully tested and running perfectly. I don't really need 3 of them and have been considering selling one, if you have any interest you can PM me for details.
