Engine oil- 15w40 Shell Rotella
I change the engine oil every 5,000 miles or each year. I also grease the truck at every oil change or sooner if I've been in much water. It's probably not a bad idea to change all the fluids when you get a truck if it's been neglected or the prior service is...
Good idea littlebob. I've swapped out several doors and I've never been lucky enough top just slap it on there and go. They always require adjustment. I'm a stickler for them closing with one finger though. I've worked on a door for hours before to get it "just right".
Well it was listed H7 but we all know how the codes are. The pics in the auction were bad pics and made it look worse than it really was also. It is by no means the best truck I ever bought from GL but it's mostly cosmetic. Looks as if it has set outside for a long time with no top on it...
Changed a door out today. I've swapped out many doors and I ran into a problem today that I've had before. If you mis match hinge halves they sometimes won't fit together ( the outer is too narrow to go in the inner). You would think all hinges would be the same other than some worn more than...
Well I dented the line on the firewall going to the governor on my deuce when I removed the engine. It's dented much more than your pics and I need to replace it but I haven't noticed problems with it being that way. Anybody that has ever removed an engine knows which line I'm talking about...
Don't hold your breath :-D. I've been working on this for a couple of years and as far as I've got it gathering all the parts. I really need to get on it though. There are some pics around here that shows a dump with the bumpers and hitch in place. I don't remember who did it.
I don't need a...
:ditto:
That's why the hole was cut. I've seen several trucks this way. Some were converted gassers and some were converted non-turbo trucks.
The best I can tell from the pics your truck doesn't have gasser fenders so it must have been non-turbo originally.
Reminds me that I need to get back to work on my dump. I have all the stuff I just have to install it. I'm going to run my pump off of a t-case PTO and try and retain the hitch and bumpers.
I got this truck a few days ago and am torn on what to do with it. I bought it for a parts truck but come to find out it runs like a top and everything works on it. It needs a paint job, top, J pipe, seat covers, batteries, and a front driveshaft. After pricing the parts to fix it looks like...
That's pretty darned good with that kind of weight. My deuce won't do near that. Guess it's time for a pyro and a little screw turning ;-). What's your EGT running on the hills?
I'm in need of the short piece of pipe that goes from the turbo to the flex pipe on a M35A2. One of the trucks I have for sale has this pipe rusted out and I need to get it fixed before it sells. As it is now it sounds like crap and will fume you out in the cab. Anybody got one?
I can't tell from the pic what those parts are but you either have something comming apart in there or the parts were left in there after rebuild. Somebody (I think it may have been Gimpyrobb) opened up a freshly rebuilt trans and found chunks in there that were left after rebuild.
I've got a...
I've noticed that when you start a listing to sell an item it list auction as one of the options. I've never noticed anybody selling by the auction method. How does the auction work here on SS? Do you just keep track of the bids yourself or is there some sort of automated system that keeps track...
If you look up near the top of the page you'll see a search box that says "search by state". Just enter the state you want to look in.
Yes, a trailer requires a EUC.
