Here we go again down this trail.
Instead of female dogging about this, I have sent an official request to USAA to get their policy on this for the M1009, M1008, M35, M800, and M900 series vehicles. I've seen this topic go round and round about 20 times in the last year and it's time we...

OK folks,
Here is the official 2009 VIN INFO thread.
PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE YOU BEGIN.
1. The more info you provide the quicker I can find your vehicle. Provide as much of the following as possible:
a. Serial Number (VIN number) ------without dashes or spaces (0123456789 correct...
I kept mine pretty much stock. I added tan seat covers from cabellas but that was more to protect the seat from me than me from the seat.
Suggest adding a dome light or in my case it was a pilots light with red/white filter. Using lights from an aromored vehicle, add fog lights. Add a...
Army Reserve Medical Command. Not sure why they would have their own bumper number as shown. I suspect this was most likely from an equipment concentration (storage) site. The ARMEDCOM was not authorized tactical equipment. They were a command and control unit for all Army Reserve medical...
Picture 1 is a sincgars base. Doubt you will get $5 for it if it ain't new.
#2 is a C-2298 station control box for a VIC-1 worth about $10 wholesale, $20 retail.
#3 is a 12 series (RT524, RT246, GRC160 [ie PRC-77 series]) radio mount. It also is worth about $5 if you're lucky.
#4 is another...
Some more. BTW, I ruined a pair of jeans and a nice sweatshirt getting under some of these vehicles. I figured a lot of people have pictures of the front, side, and rear. Fewer have interiors and roofs. Even fewer have pictures of the underside.
Tried to edit to put captions but couldn't so...
Well, for those that didn't know, I've been outta the US for the last few weeks. Had one of my folks in a hospital and finally got them home late last week. Won't go into anything other than that for patient confidentiality.
So I had 2 weeks in Korea and had an opportunity on one day to go to...
I have a few that are take offs. Most of these are probably just fine as is but I would rebuild them before use just to be sure. PM me if interested. Need to know how many you want.
Done that on many occasions loaded using my M1009. Ditto with feeling the weight and you will need to be careful with stopping distances especially on wet roads.
The 82nd has not had 551's for years (since the late 90's I think). The last ones to use them were the folks at NTC but like Mark said, they're even gone from there.
I know there are some at Anniston AL but doubt they will be able to help much on repair parts.
Dudley,
If you could come up with a date with Matthew that would be great. Yep, an air assist install day would be awesome. Hopefully I will have the additional VIC-1's by then and we can do those at the same time. I know two that have heaters to install also.
Be home soon.
