the front pump seal sounds right to me also. Ive run in to that a bunch of times on all gm tranys. I have seen the pump cover crack also so watch for that.

I drove my 6x6 home 600 miles from MO to WI and got 12 on the last 200 miles. And I think with new fuel filters and the head gaskets not leaking all over ( replacing as week speek ) I should get a bit more. Well look at it this way... even at 10 mpg your doing just as good as the chevy new big...
