Our friend Dave passed away last night due to a long illness.

    Hummer Ambulance

If I were getting up in years, oh crap, I am getting up there, I find the last thing I want to do on the road is drive something uncomfortable. I just did a round trip of 19 hours last weekend and took my RAM 1500. I could have taken my wife's Cadillac SUV but the ride is lousy. No way I...

Proper Way to Clean 6.2 Engine (CUCV M1009)???

If he were still with us I think Ron (73M819) would say hook a cable up to it with a wrecker and dip it into a pond. Rinse and repeat.

    Continental's CMD-350; a 350HP multifuel engine

After seeing your response it makes me wonder if the web blew our from the crank breaking in two or the web broke and took out the crank. I had never wondered that until now. I had just assumed the crank broke. Either way, it was something to see and hear when I started the truck up.

Pawn Stars look at a HMMWV

All because a non-turbo 6.5 won't do the mountains well on I-70. Who knew

    Flat Towing a M998

Exactly what I needed towing my Deuce and M105 trailer with my Dodge 1500 4x4. Fine straight but the first turn the Deuce turned me everywhere but where I wanted to go. (Safety tip: It was an emergency and I sure don't recommend trying to tow a 16,000lb load with 5,000lb pickup.)

    Titling HMMWV in Indiana.

I've said it before and I'm guessing that it still applies after reading this thread. You just have to find a good DMV. There are probably 5 closer to me but I drive 19 miles away because they are nicer and have never done me wrong. They have asked why and I said because I like all of you better.

That was my takeaway from the article. The sides force the rail to move in only a certain way. If they can do it for TGV they should be good to go.

If anyone in the San Diego county area is familiar with the M800 series

I see the problem in the video. Spiderweb on the front of the engine not adjusted correctly. ;-) It sounds like it still could be corrosion on the connectors but my guess is the starter solenoid. That starter isn't light if you take it off. But make sure the engine can turn over first.

    Railroad Forum

I watched them install the ribbon rail through Farmersville, OH. I think in the early 70s. They did that line due to two derailments inside of a week in the same place at a crossing. The cars would sway so much in that spot I'm surprised any of them made it. That is also when I first saw the...

In some cases a business will want to reduce overhead and one the ways to do that is to treat employees badly so that they leave and cheaper ones can be employed. Sad but true.
