After seeing your response it makes me wonder if the web blew our from the crank breaking in two or the web broke and took out the crank. I had never wondered that until now. I had just assumed the crank broke.
Either way, it was something to see and hear when I started the truck up.
Exactly what I needed towing my Deuce and M105 trailer with my Dodge 1500 4x4. Fine straight but the first turn the Deuce turned me everywhere but where I wanted to go.
(Safety tip: It was an emergency and I sure don't recommend trying to tow a 16,000lb load with 5,000lb pickup.)
I've said it before and I'm guessing that it still applies after reading this thread. You just have to find a good DMV. There are probably 5 closer to me but I drive 19 miles away because they are nicer and have never done me wrong. They have asked why and I said because I like all of you better.
I see the problem in the video. Spiderweb on the front of the engine not adjusted correctly. ;-)
It sounds like it still could be corrosion on the connectors but my guess is the starter solenoid. That starter isn't light if you take it off. But make sure the engine can turn over first.

In some cases a business will want to reduce overhead and one the ways to do that is to treat employees badly so that they leave and cheaper ones can be employed. Sad but true.
