I wonder what the “R” stands for? When the M1 tank progressed it took on a “IP” designator which meant Improved Production. R possibly means refit or ?
I can’t believe that these aren’t self-bleeding. I wonder if you could also pull the A/H reservoir dipstick and purge air by pumping the manual Jack and alternately selecting raise / lower to cycle the OHA back to the reservoir?
Update: Today is December 16th. Have not received the twice corrected SF97 yet. This problem mostly rests with DLA. However, the f GP had verified the vehicle info up front, and correctly, this debacle might not have happened.
I needed to share my experience with TomTime. He listed some very nice tow bars at $200 each.
These tow bars are in excellent condition and the price is UNBEATABLE!
Tom has a very nice 1083A1 which he gave me the walk through on. It would not surprise me if his rig made the FMTV of the month...
The port is there. I didn’t see the P connector the TM called for but I did see an unused P204. Cannot find that on any of the schematics either. I did a bit more troubleshooting reading to get an idea of the circuit and I looked up part #’s. I’ll look closer at the bundled wires near the...
Read more of the -10 & -20 manuals. Printed off the wiring schematics and fold-outs. Looked up more NSN’s / Part #’s. Replaced the service brake air hose on the trailer. Trailer has brakes. Will be getting the inter vehicular light cables (24V & 12V) and make sure all lights work in...
Attempting to revive the TACH issue - briefly.
I’ve got a A1. Have been thinking about adding a tach. My question is:
Does anyone know if the harnesses are different between the 0 & A1?
I would like to think that some the harnesses would not need modified and that the same harness could be...
All other gauges work properly? Get behind the dash and check the gauge wiring. Make sure the dash is also properly mounted.
If you can, disconnect the lead from the sending unit and from behind the dash. Perform a OHMS check (continuity check) to see if that lead is broken or has a bare spot...
UPDATE: SF97 arrived today!!!
But…… It shows the vehicle being a 8 cylinder instead of 6. It also shows a purchase price of $12,349.96 (I paid $4300). The weights (shipping & GVWR) are incorrect.
I called GP and spoke with the Title Department. They told me it would be another long wait...
I received a letter from DLA (Defense Logistics Agency) regarding my M1083A1 purchase.
The letter describes the penalty (ies) for selling, giving, disposing, or otherwise transferring my M1083A1 to foreign entities.
Yet the US walks out of Afghanistan leaving trillions of dollars worth of...
You should check temps in numerous places. Make a list and write the cold start temps for all those places. Every couple of minutes do another temp check and record those. Continue doing that until you’re sure it’s reached operating temperature.
I would check:
1) the cab defroster & heater...
