I'm not trying to rain on your parade. Stanadyne spent a lot of money coming up with the Roostamaster. I'm sure it a pretty solid piece.
Personally I would be entertaining more of an electrically supplemented turbo improving VE over trying to get the last few percent out of the fuel delivery...
I don't think you are gaining the efficiency you think you are by improving combustion to lower emissions. Sure maybe a few percent but it's not like you are cutting your fuel burn down by a big enough chunk to justify the process.
There is no free lunch and the 6.2 already does a pretty good...
What do you have for suspension/steering? My Burb is a bit floaty both it and the M1031 ride just as good as a modern 1/2 ton truck. They both steer precisely as well.
I will say the wind noise is way higher, the 6.2 is deafening on long trips, and driver workload is way higher then a new...
With the price of square body truck these days, it's a sure fire investment if you are buying them right.
I'll also mention it's cheaper then therapy or a mid life crisis Corvette.
I'm lucky my other half supports my addictions. She loves driving stinky.
My limitation not owning the home I...
They are worth there weight in gold if you need power.
As is probably nothing but scrap. There is a guy on ebay that has a pallet of them for cheap and they have been listed for quite some time.
I was thinking of the Sidewinder. The factory turbo manifold puts the turbo more in the middle of the cylinder head right?

I doubt the turbo will be happy with the big honking J180 mount alternators. Thats the M1010 setup. Thats the best way to get AC whether 12 or 24v.
This is opinion but I would go 12v and use the 6.5 setup. It works with the turbo. The alternator is a newer style, yiu get a Sanden style...
Everytime I see a white Suburban of that era I think of that movie and the scene where they get shot at.
Clear and Present Danger
Patriot Games
Hunt for Red October
Sum of all Fears
That's my order. The rest are meh, I agree.
Watch your back Jack!
If you dont want to go military could always go presidential or CIA. All white with some flat metal hub caps. Jack Ryan themed.
Don't let the big block get you down. Even at 3.50 a gallon the 8.1 still makes me smile. Parents don't grab their children when a Prius goes by 🤣
I would want to know what both alternators are charging at regardless of what the lights are doing.
Don't let it get you down, these things are really old. They take a lot of miles to work the bugs out. I remember one of my regulators failed right after rebuild. Since then they had 10 years are...
I don't think any such thing exist for a class 3 and below truck. Those tires you speak of are more for offroad then to be a super single.
I bet if you looked at the number of ply's, load rating, tire pressure capability they wouldn't even be close to a pair or E rated duallies.
Literally everything in a modern vehicle is under the hood. Fuses, relays, entire engine harnesses, and ECM. Its all rated to be in there.
First thing I do is add an ignition switched relay out in the bay so that can feed a bus bar. That way as you start adding accessories it is all switched...
I don't think garden hose has an electrical rating. I would also venture to say that if I opened the hood on something with garden hose as a wiring loom I'd probably run away.
Stick with what is called for...electrical loom.
My fuel gauge was the first to go, then the speedo started to bounce a bit. That combined with the lack instrumentation made me go to an all electronic dash.
Once I looked at the price on a new factory speedo 🤔
Flexplate yes, TQ and oil seal no.
You are already 90% there, just remove it. I've used the $120 Harbor Freight junk and it worked fine of your driveway is flat.
My head hurts now... 🤣
Yeah this isn't rocket science. Warm the truck up, move the shifter thingy around a few times, return it back to it's home, pull the stick. If you put a gallon of fluid in and it's not on the stick then she is very low to the point of not functioning at all. Not much more...
