What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

That's great they learned to drive in the 5 ton! I had my first introduction to driving stick in a Deuce myself!

Driving a M925A2 Back From Auction

I say make sure all ducks are in a row of course, then if so go all in! You'll remember the recovery trip the rest of your life. Bring someone else familiar with the M939 series along if you can.

    Newbie--M929 out of New Castle

M813 needs air cleaner, is M939 the same ?

On a side note, beautiful M813!

    My truck is on gl.

Of course it will require more research, just something to consider in the meantime. It's not like there's truly a "deadline" in this case, which I can see causing issues unless a deadline was set.

    First MV: 1969 M35A2

Congratulations! These are great trucks. I almost bought a '68 as my first vehicle this past April; it was in good shape but needed tires.

Considering an M923A2! What do you think?

Everybody seems to comment exactly that: That the little cars always seem way too close and don't realize what they're dealing with!

Considering an M923A2! What do you think?

So true! But that just adds to the experience!

    My truck is on gl.

Another thought: What about a GoFundMe campaign to source the monies needed for Duece-Coupe to buy his former truck? It would thus be somewhat more universal and probably easier for everyone to contribute to. I don't know if the forum rules allow it to be linked to on here at all but it's...

    My truck is on gl.

Best of luck with that possibly working out for you two!

    My truck is on gl.

Don't know if I'd actually be able to contribute much financially to said cause (maybe something like $20 just to show my support and that I care) but I'd like to see that happen too. It'd be another example of how wonderful this group truly is! I'd be curious if such a thing would actually...

Considering an M923A2! What do you think?

I say go for it! Worst comes to worst, sell it later if it doesn't work out. Depending on your state, you might need a CDL, but it'll be worth it. Maintenance can be expensive but you'll have so much fun you won't care. l plan on getting one too, as my first vehicle possibly, (18 year old...

    My truck is on gl.

I know I'm reviving an old thread here, but Wreckerman related this story to me the other day after I related my own bizarre small world story involving Steel Soldiers; I hope one day you and "your" M927A2 reunite! I wish you luck on the eventual purchase!

M939 Series 5 ton as Daily Driver?

I'm definitely planning on getting some sort of a job to help cover the little day-to-day expenses, and maybe help squirrel away a little bit of money for the proverbial rainy day later on. I also would like to do a time slot at one of the university radio stations, as long as it isn't at some...

New guy checking in with M923A2

Also agreed, leave her a 6X6! :driver:

Considering an M923A2! What do you think?

I say go for it! Where there's a will, there's a way! I'd like to get one myself, and have the same thoughts: "Why not?" I plan on possibly getting one as my first vehicle (18 Y/O college student), daily driving it, etc. I also like the off-road capability.

M939 Series 5 ton as Daily Driver?

Yeah but this still isn't an air ride seat, correct? Is yours an A1 or an A2?

M939 Series 5 ton as Daily Driver?

So at least now I won't have such a long drive. Still planning on getting one in a couple years as a daily driver. But for now since I'll be living on campus I think I'll do without a vehicle. I will, however, have another Steel Soldiers member as a roommate, who daily drove his M35A2 he used to...

    Gonna get a 5 ton

OP, have you found yourself a truck yet?
