If those covers could talk (LOL) they would have a heck of a story. Poking around and getting different problems... IS a problem.
These are all good question...and difficult to respond to. My best advice is to study the wiring diagram above. It is the "map" to this fix this problem. Wire...
I am sure the OP will report his experience or I WILL. Having the Camoteksystems controller gets my direct support. Try that with other "controller boxes" I also reached out directly. OP is free to share or discuss on going experience freely here.
Nobody defeated anybody. CAMO
That pictorial of the transmission power feed ... is or could be a bit confusing to a newbie to the lamp circuit. The ground on pin U to controller is a logic control "pull to ground or low" from the CPU.
This link below is a very good trouble guide with detail., wire numbers too. IMO a MUST...
Have you priced Helium lately?? Sheds more than 20 pounds from the wallet LOL
Over inflated idea... air we breath is 78 % nitrogen and dealers charge extra for what?
Leaks can be expensive, CAMO 🎈
Just an idea... and I did it to mine was to drill a 3/8 hole in the low spots in the frame. I was told by a wise man (86humv) that the frames have been known to rust out from the inside. One wouldn't think so, as thick as they are... but any water held in the frame is going to be a problem...

5A is the "SENSE" lead from the control box to the alternator. 24 Volts in the RUN position. Some might call it the exciter or field.
Sticky subject. And there's the TM's too, CAMO
Here an idea ??? If not wanting the AC on your rig... re-purpose the compressor for "On Board Air" It's already bolted in and with some simple plumbing, a small tank or bigger a switch or cutout / regulator..."good to blow"
Could come in handy on the trail filling up JEEP tires...LOL...
RIGHT... The contacts on the ENGINE connector to the box can not handle the current. The 8 ga pins are only rated 70 amps on a good day.
Was a bad design right out of the gate...errr BOX, CAMO
Just a guess... and a FREE IMO... so proceed at one own experience level.
Sounds like the solenoid HIGH current motor run contacts are not making up. That's the two BIG copper bolt connections.
One quickie test would to to short across the two with a junk screw driver. Get ready for a good...
